I agree with Lindsay.  If you are going to learn to think in ways that increase our possibilities for living more sustainable and peaceful lives, this is one of the foundational books you should be reading.  Most of the cultural histories we have read are superficial, biased or just plain wrong, but unless we correct those distortions in our own minds, we may subconsiously repeat them.  The Chalice and the Blade will not only change your life.  It will change our future.

I am reading this book right now and it is wonderful.  I am almost finished.  This book fills in the awkward cracks of conventional histories that are given to us to read in schools…in universities…  If you'd like to understand our cultural possibilities – then this is the book for you!  Eisler outlines and highlights what is deep in our cultural memories – that the sacred feminine and the ability for a parternship society to exist is not too far from us…
