Introduction :)

Hello All,

I'm new to Gaia. I signed up a couple of months ago but I have not posted before now. I am really glad to find a community that is spiritually centered and intellectually sound.

From what I've read so far I hope to find a home here. I am really looking forward to being here!

you're most welcome. and yeah, it does have a soothing feel to it. i know that when i'm in a rotten mood, this place calms me down most of the time. and there's always someone to talk to, so that's a comfort as well. and all these awesome people to meet!

Hi naolson - I've been here a while, since October last year, there's so much to do on Gaia, so many people to meet.  I love connecting with people from all round the world and learning new things.  The technical side of Gaia is a big learning curve for me - I'm still learning now!

Hi Natalie!

It has taken me a few days to realized I had responses to my introduction…

When you are on your profile page, in the left column,
you will see your groups listed.
When someone has responded, there will be a small gold new banner.
If you click that, it will take you to the most recent posts.
Helpful if you have asked a question, and waiting for a reply.

Also, if you click that “subscriptions settings” link in the upper right in the “about this group” section, you'll be able to make sure you get e-mailed whenever someone replies in threads that you've posted in… or anytime someone posts in a group you would like to be notified about :)

Thank you so much! I knew there had to be a way to be notified of responses! This is awesome!

I checked that I want to be notified individually on any thread I have posted to. Is this the best option? Is there anything else I should do?

That option should work well :)  another is to have all the groups you've joined set to send you notifications individually.  Then you'll be notified when anyone posts at any time, instead of just when they reply to threads that you have posted in.  But it's totally up to you how you want to do that.

If you use the way that you set it up, and combine that with Ladybear's suggestion for keeping up with posts, that may work well, too!
