Where did all the flowers go?

As I've been surfing, for at least the last three or four days, maybe longer, I've been noticing that the “flower” thingy that sits on the left of each discussion board (or post on some boards) has been missing.  The symbol that appears when a picture is missing appears instead.  Is this because my browser (IE7) isn't picking up on the coding properly?

Below is a straight copy of the “icon” in question from the document “source” file.  The same coding appears across Gaia, and I have the problem on all pods.

Since I know nothing about how “png” works, I cannot tell if this is properly written or not.  I'm a little surprised no one else has mentioned this, but maybe it's particular to me, in which case, is there a “fix” I can do, or am I (and maybe others with the same browser), out of luck?

Bumping this back up before it falls off the page - I am still not seeing the “flower” that this string of html code is supposed to show me.

I have checked with others - some are seeing it, and some are not.  Which means people just visiting may be having the same “problem”, and view the web-site as perhaps not as well constructed as you guys would like it to be considered.

If it is something to do with my browser, is there a fix I can do (I still get a lot of “page done, but with errors” messages in the bottom left bar)?  I run on “medium” risk regarding internet content, so surely that wouldn't be affecting this. I do block pop-ups (as I'm sure many people do), but this doesn't have anything to do with pop-ups, so I cannot think of anything else I need to look at, to fix this.

My gifts as yet do not include being a computer wizard.

Anyone else having Mac/Safari problems here? Is it that Safari does not support Gaia?
I am having a Mac wizard friend come over to help me tomorrow. I was wondering if I am the only Mac person on Gaia who is having problems. Is it me, is it my Mac?

I want to purrrrrrrrrrrrrr not grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
