Gaia's Guidelines

Having read Gaia's guidelines, I believe I'm following them. My posts are often provacative or controversial but not irrational.  I could say the same for Jesus' message.   Why not challenge me, if you disagree?  I'd like to know why my tags have removed from the Gaia program.  Is Gaia a dictatorship?

Hi inlink.  Where do you believe your tags are being removed from?  Gaia is a moderated community.  We have no qualms and make no apologies for kicking people out if they don't respect our values. 

But as for the tag issue, I do know we have a tag limit on blogs.  So, if there are tags that aren't showing up there, it may be that you have exceeded the limit for that posting.  If you're talking about somewhere else, let me know where, and I can look into it.  I really doubt anyone is removing your tags, though.

By writing my tag in Gaia's search I should find my blog.

On my blog of January 7, views (2), my tag, “life's difficulties.” Did not find my blog

On my blog of January 6, views (7), my tag, “Cayce.” Did not find my blog.

On my blog of January 5, views (15), my tag, “big change.” Did not find my blog.

On my blog of January 3, views (82), my tag, “economic meltdown.” Found my blog.

There is a reason for everything. It appears that Gaia is picking and choosing the blogs I write it wants the members to read. Am I write or wrong? If I'm wrong tell me why my tags are not included.

You're not right about that.  I don't know why some tags are getting missed by the SOLR server, but it may be a bug.  So… I'm looking into it.

Whereas my tags were entries to my blogs in the Gaia search,  search is now giving me quotes and groups, not my blogs.

For instance, my tag, accommodation, was in my blog “Is U.S. Accommodation with Islam Good?”  This blog brought 120 views.  My tag accommodation in Gaia search got me my blog. Today I used the tag, accommodation, in my blog, “Accommodation.”  Gaia search gave me quotes and groups. I got 4 views.  Whatever is going on at Gaia has the result of members not going to my blogs.

I've been around a long time. I know a different America than you know.  The nation is in your hands, my friend.  At this rate, you and your children, and their children, will not enjoy the freedom I've enjoyed.  I will not be around.  Neither will Gaia.  People will not be able to express themselves.  You will do as you are told or else.

We have a ticket in with the folks managing our servers to see what's going on with the search indexing.  I won't be able to look into this further until I hear back from them.
