I don't think anything has changed with the 10MB max.  Have you tried successfully with much smaller images?

I do not have Flickr as far as I am aware but I will try the Attach Images below. I wonder if I can give you a URL from my Pictures file. If this fails I will try that.

Ian, since that picture is on your computer, I can't access it.  It would need to be somewhere on the net.

Hi Ian!  That photo is only 195 KB on the internet.  It must have been shrunk to fit there.  That's an awesome photo, btw!!!  You were the captain??  Sweet!

I have been trying to upload pictures into existing albums resp into an album I newly created but it didn't work. Before, when uploading pics there was always the option to tick albums the picture could be uploaded into but for a while now this option seems to be gone. Is there another way to upload pictures into specific albums?

Btw: I've had problems uploading one picture (smaller than 10 MB), too, the other night. I tried at least 5 times but the same message Ian mentions appeared. The next day it worked fine and the picture got uploaded without any glitches.

Hi Jenny.  Are you not able to upload to an album if you first click on the album on the right (it should then only display that album's photos) and choosing to upload a photo?

No, I tried that but it didn't work (only tried once though, maybe I should try again). I created a new album, clicked on it and uploaded a picture. The picture got uploaded but not into the album so I deleted the album because it remained empty.

Ah, you're right!  That does appear to be a bug :(

I'll let our team of experts know, and have one of them put in a fix for this.

Thanks. On another note: Is there any way to manage photos/albums once they're uploaded? I think I asked about that in some group a long time ago and I was told that the team was looking into improving managing pictures (thinking about moving them from one album to another, re-arranging their order etc).

Yeah, it's still about the same.  If you wanted to move a photo from one album to another, you would have to delete it from one and upload it to the other.  The ordering also is pretty static.

Could you please let me know when the album upload has been fixed? I just tried again to upload pics in a new album but it still doesn't work and this time I'm not even able to delete the empty album. :(

Thanks for letting me know. I saw that the feature was available again last night (Sri Lankan time, that would be yesterday morning over where you are) and I tried to upload a picture into the respective new album that's still lingering empty. Although I was able to choose the album to download the picture to, after loading for a while a page opened saying the file was too large (it wasn't though!). But then yesterday I received several error messages when trying to navigate between pages so maybe it was just a general glitch. Will keep on trying and let you know when I've been successful.

Hi I am having the same problem also, each time I try to upload a photo for my album I get the 413 request entity too large….when the photo is 4000x3000 JPEG 3.28MB
I have tried many times on different days.
I also get a message at times saying stack overflow at line 473.
I am using a PC on Firefox 3   thanks Danuih

when pictures are that big in size, 4000x3000, they tend to be too large. this has happened to me several times.

i have no idea what a stack overflow is.. but as for the pictures, i shrink mine down into the 1400's, and they look just fine in my photo album.

Hi Matthew,
I'm trying to upload a photo as well and keep getting the 413 entity too large error.  the photo is 2.11Mb and 1728x2592 so there shouldn't be any problems.  I've tried on different days and at different times but no success.  I'm on a PC with Vista.

I'm still facing the same problem I just didn't come back here because I understood Matthew would notify us once the problem is solved. I have to shrink pictures that aren't too large to upload them. :(

We have just one developer working on bugs right now, so I apologize that this hasn't been fixed yet.  I'll see if I can get the priority upped on this one, as many users are reporting it to be a problem…
