Notifications - Daily Digest

There are a couple groups I belong to where my settings are to receive notifications of group activity as a “daily digest,” and that's not happening – I'm not getting anything.  Specifically, for the group Integral Post-metaphysical Spirituality, the last daily digest notification I got was October 17th.  I've tried playing with the notifications to set it to “individually,” and that seems to work, but when I set it back to “daily digest,” it doesn't work.  Since then, I also put my Gaia Support notifications setting to “daily digest,” and that hasn't worked, either.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?  Matthew, is your magic wand working on it?  Or is your crystal ball aware of it?  :-)

Hi Tely!

Yes, we are aware of this problem.  Hopefully, we'll be able to get to it very soon!  In the meantime, that “individually” work-around that you mentioned is the only band-aid solution I know if at this time.

ah ok, so I'm not the only one. I'm not getting daily digests either. I'll be patient :-)

Hi there, same over here, notifications stopped altogether now. Hope this is a good sign… somwhow…?  ;)

Same here, but I imagine these are two separate problems – the no notifications whatsoever and the no daily digest, which is still a problem.

All my email notifications have stopped here as well.  No email from Gaia of any kind (Looks like I'm not the only one!)  Sadly missing lots of communication,  Kathy

Yeah, this latest problem is unrelated to the daily digest thing.  When I fixed the youtube issue, the fellas managing our servers forgot to install a necessary gem that I requested.  You should be seeing a slew of missed notifications coming into your inbox now.

I think some of the individual post  notifs still were coming in, but I sure got a whole slew recently !!!!!

I found a workaround on gmail for the New Post on a Thread you have posted on notifs I've been meaning to share. I switched that to individual post notifs, being prepared for the worst, and the first time through that “conversation” got up to 60 before gmail switched them to another conversation. Now they are being switched to a new conversation about once a day, so it's pretty much like having a daily digest. 

It includes only threads I have posted on, so I still have to keep up in the pods which are really important to me, via individual post notifs. But at least it includes all my own posts, which are important to me as some will go into my eventual book.

All nongroup notifs are coming through fine.

So when will the daily digest problem be addressed, ~Matthew. It's been 5 or 6 weeks now. How many are affected? Is it so few we are very low priority?? I'm complaining, but I do realize the devs are stretched thin. I just don't see 5-6 weeks' worth of stuff all being higher priority than this matter. It's possible I'm sure……..

I tried some Daily Digest subs to another of my email addresses, but have been forgetting to check whether they are coming in !!!!

Yay – today's problem is solved!  But I second what OM said about the Daily Digest notifications.  Can you tell us what's going on with that, Matthew?  Thanx!  :-)

Hi OM and Tely.  I've reported the issue to our developers.  Beyond just trying to fix it myself, there's not much I can do…

Unfortunately not, Tely.  Their work orders come from higher up the ladder, and right now their time is just pretty much booked.

I appreciate what you are doing, ~Matthew. And hope your Thanksgiving was scrumptious in every way!

I really don't understand, though, what is going on here. A rather important aspect of Gaia's functioning has been broken for 6 weeks now. Is it the small numbers affected who put this so low on the work order list?? How many do you figure ARE affected??
