Yes, now I have found Daily Digest for the Lounge and one other group.

Well hip hip hooray!!! What made the difference? How did it get fixed?? What a delightful New Year's Eve gift!!!!!

Why do the notifications say "There are 7 new posts on this site." Should say "in this Group." The amateur error is kinda odd !!!!!

AHA!! This explains why "There are 18 new Shout-Outs for you" arrived in my inbox today! Dated October 17 (the date the last Daily Digests came) through November 12. So the ones after Nov. 12 are still pending......

Will check other things too.....

I will check, but I don't think I am getting mine. It's hard to tell now that I am on the workaround of individual post notifications for so many pods!!!! Ah, I can think of one way to tell. Will get back to you all. If this is fixed, I will be a happy camper!!!!

HOLY WAH!!! (as folks around here say) The daily notifications/digests are arriving in the gmail inbox for the first time in MONTHS! I don't know how to act. What to do. But thank you, Matthew, or whoever fixed this. Excellent!!

Siona offered a suggestion as a work-around for the daily notifications. Go to http://www.feedmyinbox.com/v2/ It's free and you can just use the RSS feeds of a Group (or blog).

Help! Matthew you know that I am NOT a tech person...ok I know I don't have to write that every time I have a glitch.

Here is the issue: I cannot delete goals from my profile page as I think that was disabled when we went to Gaia.

Not a big deal...

Now I cannot update my profile page without something disappearing. Not in the sections designated for certain things but in the space between location and those designated areas...I have some quotes posted there and in the past that has worked. I have tried recently to add 3 quotes and when I click on update the quotes are still visible just as I posted them but when I click done they are gone.

I just tried to add to a quote I already had posted with a link to the person I was quoting and the entire name disappeared even though it was there before I tried to link to it.

I do not have any of the other stuff on my profile page i.e. music, widgets, etc because I am oblivious as to how to do that...Meenakshi tried, bless her, but it flew over my head.

Ok, one other thing...the counter is not working again...and that is not a big deal because I will post what I feel compelled to post even if no one shows up to read it, but I get sometimes more comments either on the blog or privately than I do hits.

OK, Matthew! Thank you so MUCH!!! I am done.

Sandy, at the moment I am on an IE machine, and I can't see where in Tools you found that option. Is it in the Advanced section under Internet Options? I doubt this computer is running IE8 so a choice might not appear here....

yes Matthew- although all my other sites had automatically
up-dated to IE8 -as I discovered, not for our Gaia -it had to
be done manually...

Hey Matthew-
I can start a thread -I have fixed it!!!!
I went into tools and found out that the
Gaia page was set to IE7 -as soon as I changed
it to IE8 -my problem was solved!
While one would think it would have automatically up-dated to IE8 , as all my other sites have done-
at least I have found the solution -
and thanks to you too ,for making me think and dig deeper instead of just hoping you could fix it for me!

I sure hope you stick around!

Because we can't re-create the issue, it indicates that it is not on our end. That means that we can't fix it from here. However, you and I can keep troubleshooting this to see if we can find a solution. One suggestion that will probably work is to use a different browser. Another that might work would be to do a complete re-installation of IE 8 so you have a fresh copy you can work from. I'm not sure exactly what that would entail, but microsft's website should be of use here.

Thanks for your input dear OM -much appreciated.
Well I am not putting this inability to start a new thread down to
using IE8 -as I have been doing so for some time.
The problem started after this new way to sign in started (through
Twitter etc) -which I have tried but do not find satisfactory-.

I can copy the IE report but feel that is sharing too much information
about my personal computer.
I do think that Matthew and the "fix it wizards" should be capable of fixing
the problem however?
I am most unhappy about the situation -will keep trying ways to fix it-
but at the end of the day am wondering if I cannot be helped-and am to
be left in limbo over it I should maybe leave?

Sandy, I feel for your dilemma. Here's all I can offer: do you have room for more than one browser on your computer? As pod mod, there are things I can do in one browser that I cannot do in another, so to cover all the functionality I want requires two browsers: IE7 and Chrome! Can you go back to IE7? Do you think that would help? Can you put Firefox or Chrome on your computer, and see what they might enable?

I haven't had sign-in problems on IE7 (which I abandoned long ago because it got into a "script error" loop interaction with Gaia site that was driving me batty, but I use it rarely now when Chrome won't do a mod editing thing that IE7 will still do) or Chrome (which is free, BTW.)

If you do have to continue to depend on a mod for certain functions, that would not be pleasant, but it might be better than having no ability at all to do those functions. ??

Oh Matthew- are you saying it CAN'T be fixed??????
Are you just going to LEAVE me without editing options ?

I am wondering if it has something to do with the new sign in system?
I was having trouble signing in when that came into being -
and eventually sucummed and signed in through my Twitter account.
But I have since cancelled doing that as I prefer to keep the seperate
and I didn't like the system of it -wherein signing out of Gaia -
did NOT sign me out of Twitter!

I hope you will not abandon me -as the cultivator of 2 pods -I cannot
work on in this manner- can I ????

Unfortunately, we cannot duplicate this issue on IE8. So, I'm not sure what could be causing it, but it doesn't appear to be from our end.
