Hi ~Matthew,

I have learned that YouTube has made some changes recently to their videos and probably have changed API's.

You should have a look at what changes YouTube made. Please have the developer who knows the framework to embed youTube videos to check the differences between the old API and their new one. I believe this will handle the bug. This is a useful URL http://www.youtube.com/youtubeonyoursite

Over at The Mod Pod there is a request to post videos and the below symbol appears in just the last two days.

I am trying to post this video for The Gaia Minute and get the rejection cue. Should I upload this video with a different codec?

Hello Starseed,

I've written a ticket for that particular ad. In my opinion ads shouldn't interfere with site functionality. I haven't been notified of action taken on it yet. Hopefully, there will be soon. Also, as LB mentioned, if you have plus then you shouldn't see that ad, to begin with. So, I'm confused if you do!

We just had this discussion in the Think Tank pod, seems many people aren't happy with that Heifer ad!

I see you are already on PLUS, so you shouldn't be seeing the pop up and drop down ads.
~KES has offered a link how you can disable them on the discussion link HERE

Heifer International Drop Down Ad Prevents VID posts

Ok, I know that this is a free community and that advertising keeps it that way, but the Heifer International Drop Down Ad prevents me from posting ANY videos since it was added to the site.

I have been patient. I close the ad and still the top portion (green and yellow) covers the insert button even though I am able to paste the link into the appropriate location in the add video portion.

I cannot click on insert because it is blocked by the ad even when the ad "close" option is done and therefore have not been able to post a video since this ad was added to the site.

It is annoying enough to have to close the ad every five seconds that I am on Gaia in order to read, comment or post anything, but being unable to post the videos when I feel it is something that even one person may appreciate makes me reluctant even to log onto Gaia anymore.

I enjoy my friends and connections here, but this is becoming more trouble than fun and that should not be the case.

Please help!

Matthew, if you are reading this I had no idea where to post this so I started a new thread since none of the others that I found addressed this issue.

Much appreciation to all of the support team and if this sounds cranky I apologize. I am just exasperated right now with this ad!~@*!

I double clicked on the link you had posted Phil and got this response at
the youtube site...

This video has been removed due to terms of use violation.

However I seached youtube for Fierce Grace and there are numerous other video links available from the film, so it was just that particular upload they deleted.

Sounds like the issue was on youtubes end, not ours. But let us know if you find odd behavior again. And if you can link us to where the issue is happening, we can investigate further, too.
