Text Box Menu Gone

Gaia, I need your support :-D

The text box menu is gone! I can’t link anything (well, I can link, but I don’t want to write HTML all the time, I’d rather click a button =)

I certainly can’t embed a video now…where are all the buttons?!
What did I do? I haven’t done anything weird :-D

I’m using IE7
Version 7.0.5730.13IC

Please advise and assist. 10-4, Good Buddies ;-)

Hi Ariela:

Since the guys are probably celebrating July 4th, I'll see if I can step in here to help you.

Print out these instructions first, as you will not be able to go back and forth from a different tab.

While having IE7 open, hit your ALT key once - this will bring up the menu bar at the top.

Click on the “tools” menu item, and slide down to the “options” choice, and click that, which will open up a pallette.

Choose the “security” tab, and when that has opened, look near the bottom of the pallette for the “custom level” button - click it.

A list called “Security Settings” will appear - scroll almost to the bottom of the list for “Scripting”, and make sure that “active scripting” has been checked as “enable on”.  Then click “OK” at the bottom of that list, and close the pallette.  Close and then re-open IE7, and this will refresh the browser to the new settings.

Thank You for responding. I did indeed check the Scripting and every single box under that category is Enabled.

I’ve emptied, closed, restarted, enabled…Any other suggestions?

Oh. I even went to Java and did their test on my system, and it passes the test.

As of yesterday, the problem has rectified itself (unless you guys did something, in which case I Thank You)

Thank Goodness!

I use Windows XP, and I didn't have the problem on other sites, the text box was fine.

So weird.
(could be some new Indigo Child electromagnetism affecting the pc this way, LOL.)
