opening mail

Alluvja said Sep 16, 2008, 12:56 PM:

Hi there,

A few days ago I got a friends invitation, I opened the mail and decided to answer later 'cos it was late at night.
Now I can't open that mail, nothing happens. My other mails open fine but this particular one not.
Any hints why that could be?  The mail doesn't have a title just a (: sign,  could that be  a reason?   But   the first time it just opened  fine
Thanks,
Alluvja

Wow, that's a new one on me. I suspect Matthew will ask for your browser brand and edition number (like IE7 or Firefox 3.0). He might also recommend you log and out log in again, or hit F+5 to do a “hard refresh” and see if either of those things works.

BTW you can avoid making a decision about an invitation by hitting Reply. Then you still have either option (accept or decline) available for the future.

:) is sufficient as a title or subject, I am highly dubious that is the source of the problem.

Hope this gets solved soon !!!

Blessings, OM Bastet

Hi Alluvja,

I checked your account, and that message is openable.  So, I'm not sure what's going wrong.  You clicked the smiley face?

Hi Matthew,

Yes I did click the smiley face and just now it opened again but for the past 2 days it didn't ! So it's beyond me what was happening.
Anyway I just went to his site and mailed him from there so all is well, except that is was a strange mystery.
As always many thanks for the good work you and the team are doing.
Love,
Alluvja

Yes, a strange mystery!  Well, I have no idea why that happened, but sometimes technology is just too smart for its own good.  Speaking of technology, I like Strong Bad's definition:  it's anything that is really cool that you don't know how it works.  And if you break it you have to buy a new one!

Strong Bad's definition is the way to go. 1010101010101010101010101  he knows his stuff.  =)
Very funny. thanks Matthew.
Be safe,
Paul
