Blog keeps logging me out -help!

I was trying to comment on Eli's blog http://eliroberson.gaia.com/blog/2008/9/mantras_-_an_introduction

But when I do so, I get logged out of Gaia.

I tried in these ways:
Eli-blog- Mantras [booted out at “blog”]
Meenakshi-Blogs-Friends-Mantras [Eli's blog]- booted out at Mantras


Then I clicked on Log In on the blog's page and it takes me to another random page. When I get back to the page, it's the same rigmarole again.

Then I logged out of my FF 3.0.1 [see how I gave this information so cleverly?] and logged in again; cleared the cache and STILL it's not letting me do that.

AND –it IS letting me comment on others' blogs.

AND –I AM on Eli's friends network in case that matters.

had no problem.

Well, that does sound buggy!  I don't think there's anything we can do on our end to fix it, though, since there doesn't seem to be a common denominator.  But, you could send me your comment, and I could try to throw it up there for you.  I'd hate to refuse a distressed damsel.  And if you're feeling at all frustrated about the workings of technology, I'd recommend reading this.

Thanks for the offer,, Mathew; I finally opened the page within Firefox wih the IE tab; and signed in again and somehow it works. I THINK it may be to do with the way “open in new window” and privacy settings interact but that's as far as my trying to read the tech encyclopedia in the air gets me. [don't ask]

Sorry Mathew; but as my friends will soon start thinking I'm a horrid friend; I've to tell you that Eli's profile page keeps logging me out; and now I see that so does OM's.

I'm recording it here in case anyone else has a problem. Till then, I can still email these friends and am on pods with them; so…won't comment on their blogs [sorry] or plant any grapes..but at least we'll be together.

I did try to clear the cache and so on….

OK, I see from above that you're using Firefox 3.0, which is what I'm using.  And it's not logging me out when I go to their profile pages.  Also, if I use your account to go to their profile pages, it doesn't log me out either.  So, I don't know why it's happening for you, but unfortunately, this isn't on our end, as far as I can tell.  Have you seen what happens if you try a different computer?

I wouldn't think you are a horrid friend, Meenakshi, but I sure hate to miss any of your comments. I hope this gets resolved sooooooon !!!!!

It rings a bell for having happened sometime to someone else, but I don't remember and have no ideas; it's beyond me.

If anyone's on a PC, I HIGHLY recommend Chrome. Safari on a Mac. While I love Firefox, it has a few bugs currently.
