No notifications??!!

It's 1:15 AM on Tuesday morning, and I have not yet received ANY of my daily notifications…….

So I have no alternative but to hit the hay….

I just noticed that I haven't received notifications either, but I did until about 9 pm Mountain Time.  After that, I had to check on my own, lol.  And in so doing, I came across some notes I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.  Always a silver lining :)

Still, I will be glad when it's working smoothly again so I am sure not to miss comments or grapes.

Lots of work this small Gaia team does!

It's now 9:25 AM PT on Tuesday and still no notifications of any kind: daily digests due last midnight, messages in my inbox, comments on blogs I have commented on, individual notifications of posts on several pods I am signed up for individual notifications on. .

IE7, gmail.

And yes, the last notification I received was 9:41 PM PT yesterday.

Argh.

I'm so sorry, OM and all!

There's a hiccup with our mailer; we're sorting it out now. We had some delivery problems with yesterday's Habitat newsletter and apparently it affected the notifications, too. Hang tight–we'll get it taken care of.

Gave the timing so you could maybe pinpoint the issue and it looks like you have!

Thanks so much OMB for sending the link so we could get some explanation. I was wondering what happened to all the people who blog and I get notification. I can't go to bed at night till I read maze's blog. No notification for the last 2 nights, I thought he was away, or sick….

I am not receiving any of my subscription things - Daily Question, Quotes, no friend's blogs notifications.

 It all ended on Dec. 5 at 12:02 am. when I got the last notification there was a new blog entry by Enlightened Thinker. 
For the next 3 days, I got nothing from Gaia.  I sent an e-mail to the Gaia direct thing.  No one has answered me, or if they have replied to my e-mail, I have not received it.  Yes, you are in my address book.

On Dec. 8, I started to get notification of comments on blogs I have also commented on.  Those seem to be coming through ok now.  But that is the only thing coming to me from Gaia. 


So no subscription things are coming to me, no friends new blogs notifications.    Can you fix it? Why am I getting just one kind of mail from you?  I have changed nothing on my computer or with my provider.     Thanks for listening, please help.

Ok, I went over to My Acccount
My Subscription settings
and found out I was no longer subscribed to anything.  How did that happen?  No one uses the computer except me.

So I re-subscribedl myself to all the newsletters I had been receiving.  I just received the first one a few minutes ago.

I went over to subscriptions for friends blogs, and saw that each persons name was checked off for both to receive and to disable. 
I unchecked the “Disable” beside each name and will wait to see if that works. 

How did these subsciptions and notifications get turned off?  Hmmmmmm….I think it came with the change recently - last month, when all the “Subscribe to this blog” came up on all  my friends' blogs that I had already been subscibed to for years. 

I will let you know if all is well.  I did not get an answer to the e-mail I sent a few days ago to the “contact us” or one of those click onthings at the bottom.

Same thing happened to me, Mimi!

Yesterday I noticed I was not getting notifications and checked my settings and they all had been turned off.
I reset them and all is working fine now.

Just wanted you (and Matthew) to know you are not the only person
this happened to!

This is the notification I got from Gaia Community Announcements. There wasjust this, no message.   When I clicked on “Siona”, I got Gaia member “Summer”s profile.

Hola all - bummer…  I had realized I wasn't getting notifications and thought it was probably a glitch for everyone.  Life was busy so I checked the stuff I wanted and figured it'd all be worked out eventually.  Which of course it has.

I went to My Setting and all notifications for comments, threads, etc had been checked “disable”.  Had to renew subscription to newsletter.

Ooops?  What happened?
All good in the end.

Hi David,

I'm not sure how it happened.  It's possible that some code that someone pushed through at some point reset these settings for some people.  I have no way of actually figuring out when, though.  It would be tough to track.

Just to add a datapoint, I checked all mine this afternoon and all were OK. And I have not checked the place that many of them go to to see what might be missing, but the ones I know about never did seem interrupted. IE 7 here.
