no blog notifications since 1/7/09

Hi, folks - the last notification I received that someone had commented on a blog that I'd commented on was last Wednesday.  I've received a couple notifications that folks have commented on my blogs - but not anyone else's.


As before - I use Mac OS 10.4.11 with Firefox - now version 3.0.5

Hi Sylvia,

If you have notifications set up to go to your e-mail address, then make sure you have us in your “approved senders” list, or whatever equivalent name your e-mail client uses.  Also, check your junk folder, and make sure our messages aren't in there.

And please list the e-mail service provider you are using.  It is possible that they could be blocking some of our messages before they get a chance to even get to your filters.

Hi, Matthew - my service is Yahoo - I've been successfully getting the notifications for months - and I check my spam folder faithfully and have not had notifications go there.  And I get other notifications - of e-mail and pod activity (from Power of Light, Reiki Tree and Care Packages) - it's just other peoples' blog notifcations that have stopped the last few days.

OK.  I didn't do anything.  But hopefully they'll keep letting our stuff through.  Thanks for letting me know the service provider.  Yahoo was one of the providers that was blocking some of our messages before.

You're welcome - I checked and voices@gaia.com is in my e-dress book … who knows?


Yahoo does seem to sometimes block “friendly” mail - one of my favorites is when I bcc things using my own e-dress as the root - and the mail from  *and* to myself ends up in the spam folder.
