Group mailers glitches

Mathew, I've discovered the following glitches with group mailers that I send out from differnt groups: This is all new, since the past 1-2 weeks
1. They show up in my Inbox.
2. When I click on them, they still show up as unread and keep showing as new mail in the count of unread mail
3. They are NOT in my Sent mail folder
4. I have deleted them so I can get rid of that unread mail number - and now I can't access them at all because of the Deleted mail box not working [ separate thread]

Oh I see.  So, the group mails are getting sent to you from you, huh?  Yeah, that can cause issues.  You can get to your deleted mail by going to http://mail.gaia.com/recycled  instead of /deleted.  Then you should be able to permanently delete the message.  (A fix will be live for that /deleted bug shortly).  I'll let the devs know about the group send issue.

Thanks, Meenakshi. I'd been running into the same trouble–I know there's a fix in for the deleted mail, but Matthew, I'm having the same thing occur. Messages sent by me from a Group show up in my inbox, but without any 'delete / archive / reply' action. It's bizarre.

Yeah, it is weird.  This bug has been around forever.  That is, when you send mail to yourself, this weird thing happens.  But we didn't used to have the group send go to yourself.  I've written a bug report for this.  Feel free to bump up the priority if you think it's urgent, S :)

Ok thanks. That helped by letting me restore some  of my mailers that I wanted to restore for having a copy for myself. The strange thing is, I saw that each of them is in duplicate in the Recycled list - as if a From copy is sent there instead of to my Sent folder.

Mathew it seems to be back.
I deleted the group messages from my Inbox as they always show as Unread
The Sent messages also got deleted; i.e., moved into deleted folder.

Meenakshi, so the glitch that is back is that when you send out a group mailing to all the members, it comes to your inbox and remain as unread even when you open it?  And when you delete it, it deletes from your sent messages too?
