Andrew, it works like this.  There is a notion that we live a world of laws (gravity, etc.).  One of these laws is the law of attraction.  Patience is always present as is impatience.  Whichever receives focus energy is, shall we say, more manifest, but still equally present as all that is.  We feel patience even when all is present, yet we could just as well feel impatience, depending on the opposition present in us.  You seem like a person that just needs to 'push back' on something to see if it is real, true?

I am happy to explain this in more detail or take a different path for the conversation if this isn't resonating.  Please let me know.
