Hello From Maine

Hi Everyone-

I would like to introduce myself to this pod.  My name is Daniel and I live in Windham, Maine.  I have been a spiritual being for as long as I can remember.  As a young boy, I was greatly interested in becoming a Catholic Priest.  At the age of 11, I discovered my sexuality and realized that my dream of a religious vocation would not come to fruition.

Luckily, I have never had issues with my sexuality as it is a small part of who I am; my sexuality does not define me, however I embrace it 100%.  I have traveled on many inner journeys over the past two decades and believe that I am finally coming home to my true inner self/being.  I feel that I align within a Buddhist path and am taking steps to further understand Buddhism and how it will allow me to become a better spiritual being.

I LOVE people and find that almost every being I encounter has good energy to give.  The gift is being able to “listen” to each being you encounter and obtain the energy or gift they have to offer.  Today this is difficult to do as life continues to be too busy.  I find that Buddhism is teaching me to be present and really understand what is happening at the moment and to embrace the moment.

I look forward to making new friends within the GAIA community.  I can honestly say that this community to date has been the most positive on-line experience that I have ever encountered!  Peace and Blessings to all of you.
