Dear friends,
Hello to you all from the Basque Country in northern Spain.
It is wonderful to have this group to discuss spiritual issues from a gay perspective.
I am the founder of another (very new) Gaia Group called 'Addiction & Healing' and I also keep a 'lectio divina' blog here in Gaia focused on recovery and healing from addictions.
I hope I can somehow contribute and be of help to others - especially in the GLBT community - who are battling with addiction as I once was.
Other than that I would love to make new friends and have lots of fun!

Hello, my name's Zach.(:
14 years young, yes I know I'm very young haha but I'm mature for my age. I'm gay, and no, it's not because I'm 'influenced' or anything like some people think.
There aren't many people who understand me in my town, I mean think about it, I'm in TX. I'm here to discuss the gay lifestyle, dating, and anything else seeing as though I'm young and I guess I could probably use some guidance. I'll try to be active. :D

Hey, this is great. :-) I was just looking over the groups and thinking about starting my own around this topic and saw this one. :-) I do have a name-suggestion for you, though:

Queerituality: Okay, this starts with "Queer Theory" which is the new social theory that we all exist on a continuum between 'gay' and 'straight' and move around on it in different times of our lives due to the influences we experience. That alone is awesome, if you ask me, but I believe we need to add WHY, and I believe the WHY of that is that in spirit, we are neither male nor female but BOTH and therefore, as we spiritually evolve and bring more of our soul-selves down into physicality, we become more balanced and thus able to experience attraction to others based on spiritual resonance alone and not gender.

So, whaddya think? ;-)

Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself before I start posting. I am glad to have found this pod and hope that I will become an active member.

I am a 36 y/o guy from Monroe, LA. I am about 6 months single after a 15 1/2 year relationship. I am gradually getting back into the "dating world." Actually, I should say that I am getting into the dating world for the first time since I never dated before. When I met my partner we started getting serious right away. He was my first and only partner. Therefore, the world of dating is brand new to me.

I am a highly spiritual person and am realizing that I need to be in a relationship with someone who thinks like me. That is one thing that I have realized about my previous relationship and a brief, one-week, "relationship" that I was in recently. Both guys think very differently than me -- especially when it comes to relationships. I am very influenced by such sources as A Course in Miracles and The Work of Byron Katie. I need to be with someone who understands where I am coming from, who respects where I am coming from and who thinks in a similar way. At least, that is what I believe at this time.

I am coming here with the hope that I can learn from others who are gay and spiritual regarding how they go about the whole relationship thing. As a social worker who has worked primarily as a therapist, I am fairly knowledgeable regarding relationships and what is healthy and unhealthy. However, I need to learn how to apply what I know in my own relationships.

I am looking forward to what I will learn here and hope that I will be able to make some new friends in the process.
