Welcome lagniappe to the Pod. Wow - never thought about food inspired by Taoism. It's so great to have so many creative members joining. I look forward to getting to know your better and having good discussion within the Pod. Peace be with you. |

Hello from New Zealand. Thank you for the welcome. Yes! Taoist inspired design of a new beverage. I also think of it as the consummation of the yin and yang (which can be taken as consuming the beverage - as well as the ‘marriage’ of the yin and yang). |

Hello Dominic… Thanks for creating this variance of Taoist inquiry. I found your interesting site while browsing the pods. I imagine this train of thought from the Taoist sage, Chuang-tzu might be illuminating and provocative to future discussion…. “If there is no other, there will be no I. If there is no I, there will be none to make distinctions. This seems to be true. But what causes these varieties? It might seem as if there would be a real Lord, but there is no indication of His existence. One may believe that He exists, but we do not see His form. He may have reality, but no form. The hundred parts of the human body, with its nine openings, and six viscera, all are complete in their places. Which shall I prefer? Do you like them all equally? Or do you like some more than others? Are they all servants? Are these servants unable to control each other, but need another as ruler? Do they become rulers and servants in turn? Is there any true ruler other than themselves?” From, The Watercourse Way, by Alan Watts page 52 This passage appeals to me as it states that which we can know organically without separation…a non-dual notion of the Body and the Universe. Thanks again for creating this pod. Best regards,
