…….And when you crush an apple with your teeth, say to it in your heart: ” your seeds shall live in my body, “And the buds of your tomorrow shall blossom in my heart, “And your fragrance shall be my breath, “And together we shall rejoice through all the seasons.” Kahil Gibran ” The Prophet” |

One of my favorite teachers taught me this one…. ;0) “I breathe in to find myself, I breathe out to… Grow, Love, Find Compassion, Connect with ***, Nature, the Earth, the Sky, the Ocean, the Moon, the Sun, My Family, Humanity, Rain, the Birds, the Wind, Find Oneness….” Let your second brain lead you - you may feel these thoughts rising up from your stomach. Its kinda like a burp and an orgasm at the same time, wholly satisfying. |

T'is ok. I'm celibate anyway! I was thinking about other possible ways to perform a 'healing meditation'. I remember one that you described to me once about putting someone you love, then someone to whom youre indifferent, then someone you dislike, (and then yourself - eek!) in your mind and breathing in their pain, and breathing out compassion and love. Perhaps we could modify this with the goal of healing the earth, or the world? R* |

Er…. Geriathlete, youve got your timezones mixed up again! At 12.30pm Cape Town time, it would be 7.30 am here. Heres the link to a really good website, perhaps we could put it on the website for everyone to share? |

Re: [Global Meditation with Zaadz]Hi… Can't seem to figure out how to type this without sending it. Maybe I shouldn't hit enter??? … so if I am in Shanghai, what time would the meditation be? I like this idea a lot. I was thinking that as long as we have a clear point - the healing of the earth - then whatever meditation suits each person would be fine, since the point is the same. And if there was a project to focus on, we could add that too. I have a project to offer if that is okay. I work with the Golden Key foundation in China, creating a structure for the poorer provinces to help them get their blind and vision impaired children into school. It's a wonderful group, and everyone works so hard to help - the Golden Key folks, the provincial and local governments, and the teachers that are involved. Perhaps this could be a focus - or a wider look at blind children all over the world? This is what one child said to me on my last trip into the mountains - “I used to feel useless. But now that I can get an education, I want to use my education to help others.” She is 12 years old, and her name is Zhang Xue Qing, and her name means “Snow Harp.” I was so touched at her pure heart - she was helped, and her response was to work even harder to try to find a way to help others. Isn't that beautiful? |

This is inded a beautiful form of mediation….the Tonglen Practice of the Buddhist traditions, also known as Sending and Recieving……Pema Chodren… author of Start Where You are….and Be Here Now, or just about any book on Dharma will describe this form of meditation. It is a way of practicing universal compassion…sort of a useful skill to have, essential to those who would be Boddhisattvas Love and Blessings Annette |

I hate to get my knickers wet…..so when I arrived at the “mandala in the park” for meditation, after a downpour , I chose to try a walking meditation instead of sitting on wet benches. I chose to walk the circular path at least 24 times…once for each member of the pod….remaining mindful of you and of the life all around me…..After just a few circuits my attention was caught by a the approach of a bizarre vehicle…which, as it drew closer resolved into a motirised invalid scooter towing an orthodox wheelchair…the occupants being gown clad patients from the nearby hospital….they had come to share a cigarette, and chose their spot in front of a bench, successfully blocking the path I was walking….I would like to say that my heart opened to them, and I felt a surge of compassion for their state….. but I didn't….I was miffed….However I did note that they did not look happy to be there and since they only had one leg between the two of them I guess they had no reason to feel happy. There is a high incidence of diabetes on this island, and amputees are a distressingly familiar sight. Not to be thwarted I just walked around the outside of the circle on the grass. At first I just walked past them, sharing my love with the plants as I had been doing before. Then, almost mischievously. I thought “next time around I am going to include my two companions” so I did! What a splendid moment it was, such a joyous moment …I had the biggest silly grin on my face, I couldn't keep it in…….. There was no answering grin!…..in fact if I had to guess what the two were thinking it probably wasn't polite……but I didn't mind…Round and round I went, embracing this strange couple as I passed, and they had no clue what I was doing…..After some time the duo reformed their bizarre vehicle, and started back toward the hospital, approaching me on the path as they went…I moved aside to let them pass. As they reached me, I smiled and wished them good evening….and….. they smiled back and said “you too, lady!”….How cool was that! Respectfully with love Annette ‘ |

Annette, This is what came to me when I read you, and Rostar, about how to let other Zaadz people know about the global meditation… Just write this line to one (or all) of your friends, and let it go: “We have a global synchronized meditation pod here: “the url”… pass it on.” Laurent |

And a youth said, Speak to us of Friendship And he answered saying; Your friend is your needs answered…………… And let the best be for your friend, If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know its flood also. For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill? Seek him always with hours to live……………… …………And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures, For in the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning, and is refreshed from The Prophet Kahil Gibran |

I would like to propose that we begin with healing the world as our goal, with a focus on the Middle East. Let's begin! We can change or add things later. That time site is great. Thanks so much to Rostar for putting it up there. It will be really useful. So the time would look like this: Meditation at Noon and Midnight GMT: London is currently in summer time, so you are GMT plus one hour. That makes it 1 and 1. In China it is 8 and 8, since we are GMT plus 8. In New York, it is GMT minus 5, so 12 noon is 7 am – at least in the summer. In Cape Town it is GMT plus 2 hours, so you might have a hard time to get to that 2 AM meditation. For anyone who is in a difficult spot for the midnight zone, we all understand. So can we begin? |

Thank you catemurray for sending me the message. have already emailed organize@unitedforpeace.org">organize@unitedforpeace.org to sign on. and my thoughts and prayers are with the people in need and for those ” big heads” that think only about killing and destroying the beauty of the highest vibration of love and light ! I am proud of my little country where democracy started and today saw on TV that : I also saw that phosphor boms are used against Lebanon and it is the first time to hear about these kind of bombes. I saw horrible pics on TV and words are not enough to tell you what I feel. I do not think it is very imprtant the zone time in order to meditate and send love and light. I am doing it and will continue to do, as my heart is bleeding and I like to play my life out loud and YES, I AM AGAINST WARS ! thank you again marinela |

the time is not so important as the intent….merely a tool, a reminder lest in the rush and discord of our own lives we forget the terrible suffering of others…. .I do not understand why our leaders insist that destruction is a more effective tool then transformation, why anyone would believe that a positive result will be the end product of negative energy…..it is not logical…and both in the microcosmic sphere of our own lives and the macrocosmic spheres of our survival as a species we seem to believe just that…. therefore I would ask that everyone avoid feeding negative energy in to this situation even against those they percieve as being the ' bad guys”…… direct your love and energy to the hearts and minds of those at war. not just with each other but with themselves… I do know that conflict arises from fear….lets teach the world not to be afraid Respectfully Annette |

from Simon Thanks for the update. May I make a small suggestion? I feel that if we simply acknowledge that we are already the peace and love that you describe the search for, it will exist. If enough of us hold the space of simply owning that experience, it WILL be the experience. I am love and so are you! Namaste and love |

Annette, Thanks for your wonderful transparency regarding your “self esteem hurdle”. In my experience you have hit the bulls-eye. Where we all have self esteem issues is where we have war and discord. This is the only hurdle that exists in me too. That is a beautiful reminder you are offering. I think if we turn within to face the self esteem issues that we all have, we raise our own vibration to that of love and consequently the vibration of the planet is raised. And every one of us can make a difference. That is why I feel that if we focus attention on a conflict, wishing for peace and sending prayer, we sometimes simply give energy to it. On the other hand, if we focus love and compassionate understanding on all the conflicted places in us that are struggling with esteem we raise our vibration, each other’s vibration and expand the planet’s capacity to love itself. The ripple effect at work! What if we focus on who we really are? - God. Love. Our forgetfulness is perhaps what leads to conflict. You inspired me to think about this. Thank you so much. Simon |

a prayerLet me not, this day, rack up jewels in heaven by the virtue of my deeds. Let me, instead, serve those who would be your servants. Let me be the poor, the naked, the hungry, for those who would practice charity. Let me be steeped in sin for those who would practice forgiveness. Let me be ignorant, a fallow field in whom, those, who would sow the seeds of enlightenment, may labour. Let me be the soul lost in desolation, crying out to those who would be guides, and teachers. Let me be the dark, dispelled by those who would carry the candles of love in their hearts. In this way, let me, most nearly, experience the love of God………….. |
