One of the world's greatest of unsolved mysteries is my love for my wife, Karen. Even if she didn't know me, my mother cared for me, but by father never ever hugged me. He always disapproved of me. It profoundly affected how I related with people. To match my own insecurity, my first three wives were insecure.

I met Karen at Greenwood Inn's singles bar in Portland, Oregon. I asked her for a dance. The moment our hands touched I felt her warmth. We sat and talked. It was like running into an old friend I'd not seen for a long time.

I was not looking for another romance. I tried to get Karen of my mind. She would not go away. Not long after our first meeting, I looked into Karen's eyes and saw in them a woman I could trust unrestrained love to; she would never let me down. We've been together 26 years. My intuition was right.

Perhaps there is a psychic Zaadz member who would like to explain. If you know of one, please send him or her here. Our first date was a hike in the mountains near Portland, on May 18, 1980. We were sitting on a log chatting. Karen blurted out: "I want this to be a platonic relationship." I thought it an odd thing to say. My response: "I've never had a platonic relationship with a woman." Our conversation was suddenly interrupted by Mt. St. Helens eruption, something that doesn't happen every day.

Years later a friend of Karen's with an astrological computer program on the compatibility of lovers gave Karen a printout of our compatibility. In it I read, "At last, someone you can really talk with. You should have become instant friends from the very start. . . The platonic thing was there from the start, and there is a sense of the brotherly and sisterly between you. Even if lovers, you will always be first and foremost, good friends."

A couple of days ago, "Free Energy," a fellow Zaadz member, referred me to the Internet's Web site From Heaven's Gate and the Science of Prediction, and from David, a psychic, "the only right place to live is way out in the woodsy mountains with a huge survival stash, completely sequestered away from all possible threats of Earth Changes, and where the only "right" person to be with is your elusive "Soul Mate" whom you have known and loved at least since Atlantis."

Karen, my "Soul Mate," and I live "way out in the woodsy mountains" with a freezer full of food. The moment I met Karen I had the feeling that I'd known her from some other time, from some other place.

This response to God Is Love didn't get read until now. I don't view the mind, or our immaterial essence, animating principle, or actuating cause of life ever part of our physical selves. We come here out of a dimension of infinite possibility, aware of ourselves. By observing, we create our reality, which is the state of our being. States don't have boundaries. The state of our being can be in a box of our making, or selfless---boundless, in which case we've made ourselves in the image of God.

Great post as usual Joe. Really great.

On a sort of peculiar side note: do you think there is ever a point in time -in between existences or current realities- where part of us -disembodied in this case- consciously choose the lessons we wish to take out of our forthcoming life? In other words, do you think we have a hand in the course of our lives events, for the sake of learning something new from new mistakes -and feeling something new for the sake of progression? I have often felt this way myself; subscribing to the notion quite deeply. What are your thoughts?

Dave

God is love is the greater love of self. When you've got that, it doesn't matter what is going on. You are inwardly secure and externally blessed.

It doesn't come like a bolt out of the blue. It involves taking risks and learning from your mistakes. In the end, things work out. I'd given up on marriage when my soul mate appeared. I knew she was meant for me from the moment we met.

On our first date, Karen, for some reason she can't explain, said she wanted our's to be a "platonic relationship." Our astrological compatibility chart says it would be love at first sight. It speaks of a platonic relationship, of brotherly and sisterly love in addition to the passionate part.

I just read this in James Redfield's The Celestine Prophecy: An Experiential Guide: "Platonic Relationships: Getting to know how someone of the opposite sex feels and thinks helps us achieve integration and wholeness. This is best done with someone who is willing to reveal himself honestly and who is conscious of his own evolution." Somehow I knew I could trust Karen to be honest with me. She has never let me down.

Redfield asks, "What Is Coincidence?" His answer: "Carl Jung called it the archetype of ‘magical effect' and claimed that it was a universal trait in humans. Recognizing the important rule that coincidence plays in moving our lives along takes us back to the instincts of the alert, poised hunter praying for the emergence of quarry, and the deeply attuned receptive state of a powerful shaman or medicine woman." My astrological chart says a mate is the most important thing in my life. After three tries and failure, miraculously, the right one suddenly appeared two weeks after the third wife left.

I'm writing a book of memoirs. There are too many coincidences in my life to say they are coincidences. We can get in a rut. Looking back at my middle-age existence, the coincidences started taking place after I felt a calling to leave my old life and seek a new and better one. Who can say what causes it, but when we're on our paths of destiny, coincidentally, just when it seems hopeless, something like finding the love of your life happens, and keeps happening. I count my blessings every day.

Intelligent people don't stretch their credit to the limit. There are a lot of details one must figure when he or she borrows. A debt can be an awful burden to bear, like the debt a "sinner" bears.

The hell (pun intended) of it is that we see a lot that isn't real, and we don't see that which is real. Blind faith gets us in trouble because it closes our minds to reality.

Quantum reality takes in all the details, down to the smallest. The world of the very small doesn't work like the world our sensibilities know. But that doesn't mean it isn't part of the whole. In fact, it has been irrefutably proven that quantum reality is real in our lives.

You see a tree for a tree but you are not seeing all that a tree represents. From Black's Law Dictionary: "The proof of certain facts and circumstances in a given case, from which jury may infer other connected facts which usually and reasonably follow according to the common experience of mankind" is a good fit for quantum reality.

Now, wouldn't you know that conventions refuse to accept quantum reality? Conventions rely on concrete reality. And too, externally, we've got a clockworks universe. Newton proved it. We know for sure the sun is going to rise every morning at a given time.

If we think in our heads that we're no bigger than flesh and bones and we need external authorities to maintain control, then we're meatheads. If we think of ourselves in terms of quantum reality, we see ourselves as having boundless conscious awareness. We are as big as we choose to be. We can be bigger than life without begging forgiveness for our sins. We can be spiritual. We can know the inner self.

Where does the C.E.O. of our body cells reside? Where is our consciousness. The knee-jerk answer is in our heads. Where is the proof? It's an unfounded assumption without a grain of evidence. In fact, there is much evidence to the contrary. This false assumption is great for external authorities, and very bad for the individual.

Quantum reality takes it all in, from the microcosmic to the macrocosmic. Did you know that the billions of cells in your body, save your brain cells, die and are replaced over a seven year period? Your brain cells die and are not replaced. Therefore, it behooves you to make those you have left work better and better.

Surely, you don't believe that all the parts of the universe are moving about willy-nilly. Surely you don't believe that we are created by osmoses. We exist in a state of conscious awareness, without boundary. We can reach out to universal consciousness. It's our choice and no one else's.

Long before there were states, governments, and religions, we knew how to count and to account for everything. We built our reality on symbols that stood for numbers. The first step in our reality creation would have been seeking to establish an individual identity, the second step to find a suitable mate, the third step, diversity, leading to the fourth step, the need for a system of law. Logically, the system would have left the individual free to do his thing as long as he treated everyone else the way he expected to be treated.

Everything would have been fine were it not for the idea we know existed. We read it the Bible. It existed in Bedouins 5,000 years ago, and existed with the founding of the three main religions of the world, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and existed in Muhammad, the Bedouin head of Islam, who leaves us with his legacy of being the founder of most intolerant religion of all.

There are those who call themselves this or that who don't believe in the exploitation those not of their society, of their nationality, race, or religion, but you can't change the facts of history. They belong to the ideology of intolerance, exploitation, and conflict.

In Webster's College Dictionary, under anarchy, the way it was originally, "Theory that regards the absence of all direct or coercive government as a political ideal and that proposes the cooperative and voluntary association of individuals and groups as the principal mode of organized society," connects with the steps in reality creation through the ninth step: selflessness, which connects with universal consciousness.

In my Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, under soul: "the immaterial essence, the animating principle, or actuating cause of an individual life," borne out by quantum physicist Evan Harris Walker in The Physics of Consciousness, "Matter, objects-a physical domain exists that is governed my immutable laws. But these laws leave open a range of happenings that are left to selection of the mind. . . it has only been with the advent of quantum theory that we have discovered proof that we exist as something more than pieces of matter. In the development of quantum theory, the observer emerges as a co-equal in the foundry of creation."

Faith Javane and Dusty Bunker, in Numerology and The Divine Triangle, under Esoteric Numerology, "Numbers, by themselves, represent universal principles through which all things evolve and continue to grow in cyclic fashion . . . when rightly understood and applied, brings us into direct and close relationship with the underlying intelligence of the universe."

Having said this, at mid-life I left everything I knew in search of a better life. I established a new identity. With three failed marriages, I found my soul mate for life. Aware of my past and present, I decided to write my memoirs. The events of my life connect with Esoteric Numerology's 9 steps in reality creation, ending with selflessness, aware that I'm more than flesh and bones.

Others may call it love at first sight, but I call it esoteric love, love of a higher order. The connections I've made tell me my soul mate was sent to me. It amazes me how I've come to my conclusions, and I wonder if it interests others enough to want to read the story of my life. My ideas are farfetched, but I'm living proof that life can be good. I'm 81 and these are the best years of my life.

I tell you, my friends, esoteric love, the kind that only a few of us have special knowledge of, remaining one of the mysteries of life, I've been blessed-along with a mission of spreading the word.

In Genesis 3:6, 7, Eve approached the forbidden tree, "and when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit and did eat, and gave also to her husband with her; and he did eat."

"And the eyes of them were both opened, and they knew they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons." Adam and Eve were disobedient, learned about evil, and saw their nakedness as shameful. In Revelations, we are informed of the "mark of the beast," "the end times," and the "Battle of Armageddon." In Revelations 6:15.16, "Behold I come as a thief, Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame." The above from the Bible reminds me of my dream the other night. After I was well on my way, I discovered that I left the house without a stitch of clothes. Just imagine the shame of it, in front of everyone stark naked! What's the feeling? Everyone looks at me as a fool. Better to keep my mouth shut and let them think me a fool than open it and let them know.

God created me in his image. The naked truth is not shameful. We are born with the ability to reason. Nevertheless, this from Michell Cassou and Stewart Cubley: "We live in a time in which most people believe there is not much inside them, only what teachers, parents , and others have put there." Exactly why is that true? Conveniently thought out by the powers that be, either the interest of the strong, or at best conventions that never maintain themselves, isn't the diversion from truth is is, as President Bill Clinton put it? Is is about control, your's or an authority. What does the Clinton response say about his constituency? Is is, period! What does it say about radical Islam? Is is, period! End of conversation.

Success to me was a beautiful home in a good neighborhood and a Jag sitting in the driveway, something to make people sit up and take notice that I was somebody. I psychic once told me, right off the bat, that I had a love-hate relationship with money and power. Why is it that we humans never outgrow our need to be instructed. God did not give anyone dominion over man. In order to know God, man must know his immaterial self. James Allen, author of As a Man Thinketh, As a being of Power, Intelligence and Love, and the lord of his own thoughts, man holds the key to every situation, and contains within himself that transforming and regenerative agency by which may make himself what he wills. Man's goodness is not by chance, or by law. By his continued individual effort, man knows God as his immaterial force for goodness.

Retired and living in the mountains now-this is what I dreamed of doing when I retired-there is a story worth telling about how and why I got here. From religion to classical physics, the study of mass, energy, force, and movement, in this Newtonian clockworks, are we part of that dog and pony show-jumping through conventions' hoops, or thinking for ourselves? The Buddha believes in self. If you believe in doctrines, you can't be a Buddha.

Most conveniently, the authorities need not agree with another's point of view. This convenient wheeling and dealing caused philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche to ask: "Is man one of God's blunders or is God one of man's blunders?" The object, be it religious or scientific, is to replace the individual with earthbound authority.

Our clue to the real self-the loving, responsible, self-reliant self-is in the latest scientific evidence found in the microcosmic world, the proof that there is no such thing as objective or concrete reality. Every last objective thought drilled into us is rubbish. Human beings are not of the hive mentality. Each with different experiences, we each see things differently. Is the Newtonian clockworks not "out there?" Is what we are not "in here ," the same guiding force that guides migratory birds, only we're not birds, we don't migrate, we interlink, the latest science tells us we're not meatheads.

Little known-rejected by conformists-quantum physics now admits consciousness into its study of mass, motion, energy, and force. Knowledge of the microcosmic world has forced physics to take a look at the way we create our reality. What is a state of mind? Quantum physics allows for individual minds capable of boundless awareness, allows that we are each actors-here with an individual purpose.

What would the world be if we each knew from an early age what we were meant to be and our mission? The laws of physics are immutable, but what comes around does not necessarily go around in the microcosmic world. That anything is possible is a total departure from classical physics.

We sit at the threshold of an evolutionary change afraid of the future. As we move into the Age of Aquarius, some of us tuned in on universal consciousness, reaching out on a global scale, it's the mystery of love at work. We will reach critical mass and people will grasp the spiritual insight to change the world to one we cannot even imagine.

Here are my thoughts on our mission. The Bible tells us we are made in our image (Gen.1:26), and that we have dominion over all other life. That being the case, why do we have the idea that man is disobedient? If we were created to reason, why don't we encourage people to ask questions? My parents repeatedly told me I asked too many questions. When I was disobedient, my father told me that God gave man everything he needed, yet man was disobedient. He followed with this: I selfishly took all the good that man created for me for granted and asked for more. He slapped a guilt trip on me.

The God-like thing about us is that we know good and evil (Gen. 3:15). In the Bible, from cover to cover, you find a story of man's iniquities, and of a just authority somewhere, I know not where. It is all so nebulous and contradictory that you are told you must have blind, mindless faith, and repeat the doctrine over and over and over. If you are true to your religious faith, you can't use your natural gift of reason. I asked my Christian minister if my Jewish mother was going to hell. He referred me to the Bible and his interpretation. She was going to hell. Millions of Americans have undying faith that my mother now suffers eternal damnation. We've a 5,000 year-old record in the Bible, of word of mouth handed down, and in 5,000 years we've not changed at all! What does that say?

In Revelations, we are informed of the self-fulfilling prophecy of the "mark of the beast," "the end times," and the "Battle of Armageddon." In Revelations 6:15 and16, "Behold I come as a thief, Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame." Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and made aprons of fig leaves to hide their shame. When I was a teenager, I was told by Christian authority that if I even thought about sex it was a mortal sin. There was no way I could be obedient to "God's law." I questioned why God would give me reason, the urge to procreate, and at the same time condemn it. I was taught that sex was evil. When we look within for answers, we learn that sex is wonderful, and that the human body is beautiful, not shameful. Both secular and religious authority uses the guilt trip ploy to control us. If we were taught the truth about sex there wouldn't be sexual guilt and perversion.

As for the politically proper secular consciousness manipulators in America, who teach that Islam is a religion of peace, we take note that the majority of the American people have swallowed the bait hook, line, and sinker. The truth manipulators follow the religion of peace idea with the idea that peace will return in the Mideast when the United States gets out. I heard Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi say exactly that. Overwhelmingly, the American people want out of Iraq. The Mideast is waiting for us to get out. When we get out-and we will before the 2008 election-the political manipulators will say it is because their opposition got in the way of the peace process when Israel gets wiped out, along with an American city or two. It is always the opposition at fault for everything that goes wrong. Behind it all is control freaks. I know them well. My first wife was one. It got her a divorce. She never found another husband. Until you have a mate you can love and be loved you are not whole. Control freaks are people who have never learned the art of living. My advice: be consciously aware that your consciousness is boundless.

Are you aware that the founder of the world's most intolerant religion, Islam, was the control freak, Mohammad? Are you aware that the origin of today's violent jihad ideology came from Mohammad? This is his most lasting legacy. Are you prepared for the choice of a Battle of Armageddon, or accommodate, accommodate, and accommodate, the idea of the politically correct, until Islam controls the world?

I have a different idea. It is neither choice. Before anything, there was consciousness. Came the "big bang" 15 billion years ago. Then there was atoms, expanding atoms, and subatomic particles, and forces, movement, and energy. The elements came together to form heavenly bodies, Earth being one, and a very special body in an otherwise hostile-to-life universe. If we are conscious of all of this, we can't say Earth is an accident. If we're unconscious, we look at a tree and see a tree. If we are aware that we exist in a state of consciousness, we know that it is consciousness that makes it all come together.

I have a story to tell. My cousin was a Presbyterian missionary in what was the Belgium Congo. He traveled up jungle rivers to bring Christianity's message to primitive villages. He was on a return visit when the church elders of a primitive village came to him with a problem. An old woman would not give up the tree in front of her hut, where she claimed God lived. They cut her tree down and the woman died of a broken heart. The church elders were not conscious of how the old woman saw her tree. The tree was alive. In that respect , she and the tree shared life. Consciousness isn't in a place. It is everywhere-in me, in you, and everyone else.

When you accept a religion that denies God to other folks, you are being politically manipulated, and the same applies to political correctness. In the vacuum control freaks of all stripes with power leave us, the U.S. Supreme Court, with its Preferred Freedoms concept, has done a tap dance around its authority. Anytime legislation on its face abridges a "preferred freedom" the assumption, according the current Court, is unconstitutionality. The burden is on the government to prove its case. It would have to show that the legislation was the proper remedy for the eradication of an immediate evil. The taxes we pay are for the eradication of the Court's determination of an immediate evil. Taxpayers don't get the same consideration. The law states that the taxpayer has the burden to prove that an IRS assessment and forceful collection was unconstitutional. The last case was heard in 1946.

The untold story is that millions of taxpayers are being taxed into poverty, and even homelessness, in order to fulfill the Supreme Court demand. Would-be taxpayers are not encouraged to work. Political manipulators working hand in glove with the Supreme Court encourage entry level workers to become government dependents. Were the American people consciously aware of the preferred freedom concept, they would recall that the U.S. Supreme Court held escaped slave Dred Scott, because he was black, to be the property of a white man, the same as a mule or a cow. Now the Court holds taxpayers to be the same as Dred Scott, the property of the United States. I quote Justice Brandeis: "property (the taxpayer's property) is only a means. It has been the frequent error of our Court that they have made the means the end."

The taxpayer is the means to the government's end, whatever it happens to be. What are we when we accept a religion in blind faith but a means to an unholy end? While others cling to the status quo, what are we members of Zaadz? We must look within for our answers. Otherwise, those we grant the power, along with their mindless following, will rob us of our energy to change the world.

Joe Smith, the Original
