In french there are two words for what someone is called. S'appelle means what you are called by others, and m'appelle is what you call yourself. I am called Emily. I call my self Little Sister. I am us. We are me. I am run by a committee. Consciousness is a lower form of being. Just a little sister. Smiles and laughter. Friendship and light. There is joy in me even in my darkest hour. I am serene even when I am in chaos. There are five voices in my head. They advise me. I am their foolish little sister, and they are what they are. They might be goddesses, or they might be demons. I have not dared inquire. You think me a fool. Or a lier. Or a mad woman. Perhaps I am, but that does not change what I am telling you. If you are afraid then tell me to leave, but if you are intrigued then speak and I will listen, or listen and I will speak. I am looking for other foolish little sisters, other people, to talk with and to listen to. I am here. You can call me Emily.
