What are your favorite areas of study?Mercale said Sep 23, 2008, 7:34 AM: |

Of course there are many past and future, but I love herbs, numerology, crystal and gem work, energy work, spell and ritual crafting, and meditations. I'm currently working on refining my tarot and astrology skills… |

I love all forms of tarot and divination tools; tea, runes, sticks, clouds, dreams. I find that dicination reveals to all involved insights about the self more so than insights from a noutside source. |

Lol, my obsession… the Truth that transcends all things… I'm actually even writing a book about Spirit and the Truths behind all relligions, and how we can incorporate that more into our daily lives… We often experience turmoil when we try to apply logic to our “inner knowings” or the contents of our heart. The Loving touch of Spirit (by whatever name) and indeed faith and love of all sorts, defy logic by their very nature. However illogical they may seem however, we experience them in a deep and gratifying way as Truth. They resonate within us as such. We cannot set them aside, yet the urge to quantify and probe, to “know” and not be “fooled” can sometimes be irresistable. I'm lucky to have an obsession with Physics, which to me is the Science of Magic, the Science that teaches us about Spirit, at least, as I said, to my mind… :) I'm not sure all physicists would agree, lol. Logic can be reversed, scientific “knowledge” may change (not so long ago, the world was “flat” and atoms a “mystical fantasy”) but the Heart knows Truth and Beauty when it finds it. |

I like to use my hubby's native american deck for (often) one card readings for myself. I find anything more than that and I feel muddled. I think it is harder to do a reading for yourself, personally. I find with one card I can ask a question, get a succinct reply that I'm not so likely to over analyze, and then if I *need* to I might draw another card (never more than 2) for clarity. I figure if I can't “get it” in 3 cards then more is certainly not going to *clarify* anything! Still working on the readings myself. No one has requested one recently, so I've just been doing tiny ones (as described above) throughout the day. Glad to see you back here! When you're feeling more up to it, I started a pod recently as well called We are One. If it speaks to you, I'd be honored to have you join us : ) |

;~) I feel the same as you about getting a one-card reading for myself and then feeling muddled if I try more. I've been trying to work on it a little each night before I fall asleep. I find I can focus for about 30 minutes which is a huge leap in that direction. |
