The Appreciation Game

The Appreciation Game is something I learned from Kris (Kris Chronicles) and have found this to be one of the busiest topics in other forums such as www.newworldview.com.

Appreciating others is important, but it is even more important to appreciate yourself. We all too often beat ourselves up and are overly critical of our appearance and behavior. In an effort to change those patterns I hereby challenge all of you to post one thing that you appreciate about yourself in this thread on a daily basis for thirty days.

After thirty days or so you will have begun to establish new behavioral patterns and start noticing and identifying your POSITIVE aspects and will spend less time looking for what you believe to be your faults.

I appreciate that I have kept up with a walking program that we started at work last week. I have increased my steps per day from under 2,000 to an average of 6,800 per day, and a high yesterday of 12,000! Yeah!!

I appreciate that I can make a stranger smile. My choir recently performed for an elderly community. If I could have saved each one of their smiles, I would have enough to last me for the year. They were all so appreciative and so happy to hear us sing. I think smiling is the best facial expression. :-)

Why ?
Because I know that if I don`t like myself the next question would be : How can I like others then ?
So when I like myself for what I am - good and bad - it leads me to the knowledge that I know how to like …
When I like one it is possible for me to like two … when I manege to like two I am also able to like three … when I like three it is not difficult to like four … AND SO ON.
SO I APPRECIATE THAT I LIKE MYSELF … AND I APPRECIATE THAT I STARTED ON THE PROCESS SO THAT I TODAY ARE ABLE TO LOVE A NUMBER OF PEOPLE !
