our original thread “and then it was so” is overflowing with gratitude!
as a result it takes forever to load.  i am grateful for the posts there and grateful to Jenn for starting another thread as well. 

i offer this place as another place to share thoughts and reflections of gratitude, another link on our ever growing chain.

I'm thankful for unusual warm weather we have been having. Usually, this time of year it's much colder and even snowing from time to time. It's been about 70 degrees and sunny here three days in a row now!

I'm also thankful that my youngest daughter is finally napping. She doesn't nap much anymore, but really needed one today.

Today I am grateful for having all the Girl Scout cookies sorted for each girl in the troop, for the church bazaar going well, and for a fun, imaginative  story my four year old made up at bed time tonight.

Excellent!  I'm on board too. Some days I have enough things to be grateful for to contribute to two threads. :)  When I started Jen's Gratitude I had no idea whether it was just my older system that was resulting in the long loading time. Since others were experiencing it as well, all the better to start another thread with a more general heading.

I'm grateful to Ohmsmom for taking the initiative to start this new thread.

I am grateful to Ohmsmom for starting this new thread. I loved the old one, but it was getting so long as to be difficult to load and read~and how what a joy it is to read the gratitude posts!

I am grateful that Rex made it through this huge 15 hour surgery this week, that we are past it and that the doctor thinks he got all the cancer. I am grateful that Rex is so upbeat and encouraged. I am grateful for the many friends online and off who have been praying for us. I am grateful that Rex is doing so well with his recovery.

Tonight, I am grateful for getting a good shower and having clean clothes to put on afterwards.

Wow, there was much to be grateful for today. Counselors being open to me sending them information about my business, a store owner willing to put flyers up in the window, a leader of the girl scouts programs engaging me when I showed up impromptu at their registration event, the folks at an elementary school's after-school program sending a concerned mother my way. Looks like I've got my first student. :)

I'm extremely grateful for a business breakthrough. I had not only my first student last night but a second as well.

I'm grateful that I managed to revive my printer with many cartridge cleanings so I don't have to buy another one.

I'm also grateful for a rock quarry's openness to selling smaller loads to me and to all those who talked to me about where I might get cheap bulk mulch.

I was wondering why the headlights were coming toward me (the one directly in front of me happened to be a state trooper…what are the chances?). I am grateful for the kind words of a parent and her willingness to toot my horn for me among those she knows. I'm grateful that I was able to come up with a method that works for her daughter and also helps her work with her daughter at home. I feel I have both tutored and helped heal a rough spot in a relationship. Hopefully this is the beginning of many such happy events.

I'm grateful for a sense of peace and acceptance this morning. Much as my tutoring feels right, it may not provide enough income to be the transition or full time career I was hoping for. I feel neither fear nor regret nor disappointment. I am grateful for this bright Autumn morning and all it holds. I am grateful for the bluegrass program playing on the radio right now that I listen to every Saturday morning. I am grateful that I no longer need to spend my time and energy dwelling on a friendship that is now healed. I am grateful that the friend concerned is allowing me to help him with his studies. I am grateful that he took me to a stylish, serene coffee shop hidden deep within a gigantic bookshop - I had no idea that such a divine place even existed! I am grateful that he carried my bag of organic goodies as we made our way there - what a gentleman! I am grateful that he walked at the same pace as me although his legs are much longer than mine!

I am grateful that I could wake up at 5p.m. and spend the entire day at home, alone! I am grateful that my Internet connection has been restored and that I am able to post this entry, perched at the end of my bed, in my pyjamas!

Today I am grateful for a friend at church who was finally back today after 3 surgeries to have stents put in her heart. I'm grateful the 3rd surgery finally was a good one that works. I'm grateful that we finally figured out a communication system with the puppy so she is telling us when she needs to go outside now and we actually understand her. She doesn't have accidents in the house anymore. I'm also grateful for Dr. Kingdon who shares his wisdom with us in church every Sunday.

I am grateful for the cedar cane my friend made for me that made it possible for me to make that long walk in relative comfort today. I am grateful for the things that have come to my mind in recent days that allow me to see the value in past experiences that always seemed negative and worthless before. I am grateful for the awareness that has made me see those experiences, once terrible to think about, as learning experiences that prepared me to deal better with the current times and circumstances in my life. Today I am grateful to feel connected to God, the greatest love in the world, in my heart.  And I am grateful for the opportunity to help and serve others who long to feel God's love.  I got to talk with an anxious elderly woman yesterday - and was grateful I had been through anxiety in the past so I could tell her how God can completely heal our fears.

I am grateful that my landlord has returned from his vacation to Haiti (it's getting cold so he can turn the heat on now, yay!). He's so sweet to have brought us a bottle of Haitian Rum! (well, I don't drink but it was a very considerate and neighborly thing to do!)

I'm grateful for some loose time to spend reflecting on how I want to reconstruct my life, looking at projects abandoned in the past for possible resurrection and new possibilities to decide what sort of mosaic would make me happiest.

I'm grateful for this group. It's so great to stop in here and get a taste of the richness in everyone's lives.

Today I am very thankful for the warm fall day and all the colors on the trees. This whole week is supposed to be warm and sunny. Perfect weather for the field trip I planned for my Girl Scout troop on Monday to a corn maze. I'm also thankful for the butterflies my 4 year old was able to see today. They stayed still and she was able to look in wonder and awe close up for a change. They even stayed still long enough that she could run next door and get Grandma and Grandpa to show them the butterflies. She was so excited she didn't even want to come inside for lunch.

I am grateful for such perfect weather right now.  The temp is in the mid to upper 70's, the sun is shining, but the air is cool….  FANTASTIC!

I am grateful for the joy I share with my grandchildren. I am grateful that they enjoyed the gifts I gave them for my birthday and I am grateful that I was able to give them gifts. I am grateful that my son invited us to go with the family to the pumpkin patch yesterday to take the hayride and choose our pumpkins. I am grateful that they visited us again last night to play and walk in the woods. I am grateful for the woods.

I am grateful for the airbrush set I was able to buy for myself for my birthday. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn to use yet another tool in my artwork.

I am grateful to Rex for planting my chrysanthemums today. I am grateful for the friends who gave me those mums.

I'm grateful for a coworker who supplies information in a clear manner.

I'm grateful for a flexible work schedule that allowed me a nap this afternoon. I'm grateful my animals settled down and didn't interrupt that nap and that they've been gracious about accepting an evening without walks.

I'm grateful for a counselor sending a student my way today.

I am grateful for the abundance of brown packing paper that came with my scanner. The cats have had a ball with it this past week. :)

I'm grateful I have no neighbors on my north side or behind my house.

I'm grateful for MONEY magazine. I'm grateful to Charles Schwab for writing a fairly easy to understand, practical book about the basics of investing. I'm grateful to a financial planner for doing a wonderful job of answering some questions I had over the phone. I'm grateful for my sister coming along on this self-education adventure.
