The Gratitude Chain

My hope for this place is that it will present the opportunity for each person interested to share a written expression of gratitude during the course of each day.

My vision is that in this space, we will embrace the positives and the gifts that touch us daily, as we acknowledge them in the presence of others who

Gratitude Continued, part 2..................

It's hard to believe, but our last gratitude thread is overflowing.
I offer this place as the alternative to the last, that takes too long to load.

I am grateful that we have the option of starting over, anytime we choose!

I too am grateful for the new gratitude chain!!!

I am grateful also that although I had “fallen off” the gratitude wagon for a few days due to that old demon depression, I have risen anew this morning to a feeling of joy and gratitude!

I am grateful for new beginnings and that every day we have an opportunity to have them.

I am grateful that the work of Thanksgiving Day preparations is all over so that we can get back to the old nitty gritty of daily gratitude without the weight of cooking and cleaning and worrying over human reactions and family dynamics that can be problematic.

I am grateful that I was able to celebrate my third grandchild's third birthday on Monday, Dec. 1. I am grateful that the little ones are so much fun and mostly joyful little creatures.

I am grateful that I will be getting in to see my doctor today. I am grateful that she is a compassionate medical professional.

It's good that we all ignite each other into acts of gratitude and kindness.  It has the result of positive thoughts which are “catching”.  This elevates us from the mundane day to day, which in turn keeps us cheerful and “upbeat”, which must be good for all those around us!  Hopefully this works like dropping a pebble in a pond, thus sending ripples outwards to touch all of humanity………

Re: Gratitude Continued, part 2..................

Lynda said Dec 11, 2008, 1:14 PM:

I am grateful for the wonderful, beautiful Christmas tree images posted here today.

I am grateful that I have recovered from the flu/cold I had this past few days.

I am exceedingly grateful that my husband's local physician took the time to call me personally yesterday to tell me that my husband's new catscan came back completely clear of all cancer and tumors. I am grateful that he was so excited to tell me personally how happy he was that even though it is too early to declare it a “cure”, he is very hopeful now. (This is a physician who had written my hubby off as a goner.) I am so very grateful for a God who heals and for medical science and physicians who have gained the skills to help that healing along. I am grateful that my husband did not have to go through months of chemotherapy, vomiting, hair loss or a colon ressection with colostomy as some had anticipated. I am incredibly grateful to be able to put my arms around him and feel the warmth of his loving body next to mine. I am grateful for his loving, kind nature and for the loving kindness of our God who brought us through this stunningly fearful situation to this wonderful place of new hope.

I am grateful that I managed to complete the painting on my granddaughter's little piece of Christmas furniture yesterday.

I am grateful that my friend who helps me with my housekeeping is here today, working away in my kitchen.

I am grateful for the joy I experienced this week as the Christmas Spirit fell upon me while lunching and laughing with friends.

I am grateful that my mother seems to be improving with the new medication she is being given.

I am grateful for the Gratitude Chain and for Ohmsmom who maintains it so that I can write on for so long about all the blessings I have to be grateful for and read all the blessings everyone else has to be grateful for!

I am so grateful for the cashiers in the grocery store that work their little fingers to the bone, when gliding our products on by.  Come these holiday seasons, they glide us customers by with the greatest of ease and still say “how do”, no matter how tired or frustrated they may be.

I was in the store today and saw a huge line up behind me, so I thought I'd give a little hand to packaging my goods…and those plastic bags are a work of a challenge to open, I tell ya'…..yes I said plastic.  It just so happened that I ran out of the cotton ones I had….may God forgive me:)

These lovely lady's go through the worst wrist pain ever, because of this day in - day out job.
Did you know that cashier people in the grocery store are mostly, if not ALL women?…oh well, that's another story.

There's something to be said about these holiday seasons and how moi' see's these gals for working so hard through these maniac times.
This is what my story was all about…….sorry if it took so long….hee-hee…that's just like me to be up at  4 in the morning and happen to come across a statement like this.
Viva la' Cashierest!!!……
And no I am not a cashierest….. I'm just one that really appreciates what they go through when it comes to impatient ignorant peoples standing in line wanting to go home.

Happy holidays to one and all and may your undies not get bound up when standing in a receiving line up:-))

I am also grateful this morning for my children.  They bring so much joy to my life.  I cannot wait to see their faces on Christmas morning as they open up the gifts they have been asking for.  There aren't many but at least the ones I am able to provide should bring plenty of smiles.  So I am also grateful that I was able to give them a little something special from Santa Claus.

I would like to express gratitude for a special evening, the first New Years Eve ever, I spent alone for the greatest part. An evening without the partying and all that stuff.  A time for reflection, meditation,  letting go and embracing.

I am also grateful for the time spent at (4 am!) outside with my neighbour- friends sitting around the fire, sharing thoughts and emotions as well as silence and letting up a lighted balloon with our wishes/intentions.
