Ooooo! What a scrumptious iris!

I'm grateful for the beauty of flowers.

I'm grateful for the wonderful gratitude momentum we've got going on here!

I'm grateful that it rained and rained and rained this weekend so I didn't feel the least tempted to go outside but instead got housework done that I've been procrastinating on.

I'm grateful for the experiences/knowledge my mother has gleaned through the years that she passes on to me.

I am grateful the Wild Azaleas are blooming again.  Each year, they bloom in time for my birthday (I am grateful too, that I am here each year to see them), and to help me celebrate Mother's Day (I take my children out for photos among them each year and thereby, track their growth).

Their pink color (both pale and bright) cheers the forest green and their heady fragrance announces their presence, even before they are seen.

The 7 days of rain have given us lush grass in the pastures and flowers and plenty of leafing on the trees.  Everywhere life is in celebration.  For that return of renewed life each Spring, I am definitely grateful.

When I posted yesterday, Joshua had not been found.

I am grateful to The Power of Light group who pulled together so beautifully, and for the miracle that unfolded, when a searcher got separated from his search group, went beyond the grid they were to be searching in, saw 2 dogs sniffing at something at the bottom of a ravine, saw the bare hiney of the little boy, thought ay first he was dead.

The rescuer said, “Hey, Bud” and the boy popped right up.  He said, “Are you ready to go home?”  The boy reached up his arms to the man.

I am so grateful that everything worked together for good in this situation and to St Anthony (patron saint of lost animals and children, a discipline of St Francis of Assi), to whom the great grandmother in St Louis was praying, that he be found before nightfall.

Gratitude is so very easy today.

I am grateful it is cool, light breeze, blue sky, sunshine and low humidity, these are blessings when without the electric utilities' power.  Having gone through heat and humidity on Friday, I can truly appreciate today and so, I am grateful for the contrast in my life, that increases my appreciation of this glorious day.

I am grateful that our home, our driveways, our new home construction site are all untouched, and as beautiful as ever, after the storm.  I know that new growth will flourish thanks to the surrender of the big, old trees and I bless them for all the shade, and benefits to the forest, they have given and carbon they have consumed.  They will return to the earth slowly and therefore, the release of carbon from their bodies will also be slow, and for that I am grateful as well.

I am grateful for the positive shifts that have taken place for me today in my personal relationships.  They are each wonderful in their certain blessings.

It is a beautiful, glorious Sunday.

Peace and Blessings.
