Onward with abundant gratitude!

I am grateful that the vet's phone seemed to be out of order. It prevented me from taking my dogs in for some routine shots and instead I used the time for a wonderful bike ride. Which in turn frees up my evening to have dinner with my man.

I'm grateful for the beautiful day and all the gardens in my path.

I'm very grateful for the drivers who slow down or swing wide when they see me out exercising or walking my dogs. Living things are so fragile in comparison to hulks of metal so I appreciate when people acknowledge that by slowing down.

I'm grateful for the abundant rain in this land that's close to drought. The flora is grateful too, as are the ducks who got to fill their bellies early this morning and take an early morning nap!

I am grateful our electric lines are now live again, we are once again (after 12 days without) receiving electricity from the utility and that means the noise the generator makes is silenced.

I am grateful for funds received.  I am grateful for possibilities.

I am grateful for work completed and burdens lifted.

I am grateful that it is another beautiful day and the ability to carve out free time in the middle of the day to go on a short treasure hunt walk with my sons.

I'm grateful for beautiful birds. There was a Oriole in the tree yesterday but I could not get close enough to get a good shot of it. (with my camera)

i am grateful to have this place to recognize each and every day blessing.  when i read this tonight, i practically ran to my computer, to vent, process and share.


Posted 2 hours ago “Had to know it was not good news when a team of nurologists and cardiologist show up to explain. Bottom line he had a small stroke caused by a blood clot. It is in the part of the brain that effects balance which would explain him being unsteady on his feet. Thankfully he seems to have recovered from it so there does not seem to be any long term damage done. They said there are probably many cases like this that never get noticed. Either by not bringing in the child or by it not being caught on a cat scan and the child seems fine. Thanks so much to our wonderful school nurse who told me to go right to the peditrician and thanks to Dr. A for getting me right in as I was already on my way and for catching the eye movements that were a sign of something bigger going on.
Thankfully are are in the right place with all the right people working together to make the best decisions. They are trying to determine if they will be using blood thinners and/or a cath lab trip with a echo down his throat (cant spell the technical name). I think we will end up doing a combination of both.”


this quote is talking about a young child.  i don't know his exact age, but surely he hasn't had seven candles on his cake yet.  he happens to live and hopefully for a really, really long time, next door.

i am grateful for tears and the ability to feel.  i am grateful to believe in the power of prayer.

I am grateful the rain of the morning, stopped before I had to load groceries.

I am grateful that someone brought Strawberry Plants to the farmer's market this morning and then, left them at the farm supply store that hosts that because I could not find any left in town; and when I told the lady behind the counter that I wanted to buy all of the Strawberry Plants (a specific request from my family), she said they didn't have any, that people had stopped by, looking for them, for days.  There were there, waiting for me.  I got 10 planters for $16.50.  That is something to be grateful for, so late in the garden season.

I am grateful my husband is clearing off the back porch and it will look so nice, after I get out there and plant what I bought today.

I am grateful my friend gave me a chance to express my feelings, and others too, while he was here to appreciate, that we love him dearly.

I am also grateful for bicycles and my legs gaining in strength so I can tackle the hills better.

I'm grateful for hydrogen peroxide. I'm grateful for the carpet cleaner who told my brother it was the best stain remover around and I'm grateful that my brother shared that information with me. Truly miraculous.

I'm grateful for everything that's blooming in my yard. It's not much but I'm grateful each plant is alive and feeling strong enough to bloom.

I'm grateful that the major elements of my yard are taking shape.
