The Gratitude Chain

My hope for this place is that it will present the opportunity for each person interested to share a written expression of gratitude during the course of each day.

My vision is that in this space, we will embrace the positives and the gifts that touch us daily, as we acknowledge them in the presence of others who

Projective or Constructive Gratitude

Jen said Nov 21, 2008, 8:58 AM:

By Projective or Constructive, I mean experiencing gratitude for things that have yet to be. This is a principle of the law of attraction, that being grateful for the things you want to bring into your life attracts those things into your life. So this is a place to express gratitude for things that have yet to manifest but which you're sure are on the way. (Perhaps I should have called it Advance Gratitude?)  Feel free to be specific and detailed and to repeat the same thing day after day, as you would an affirmation. And then that which is headed your way arrives, shift your expressions to one of the “here and now” gratitude discussions.

I'm grateful for my new used Subaru station wagon. It runs great and is perfect for carting my animals around.

I'm grateful for how receptive counselors and principals have been to my tutoring during school hours. I'm grateful for social services using my services for their foster kids and helping to pave the way with principals, counselors and teachers.

I am grateful to have found the perfect new home for my little dog. She finally has the crowd of adoring little playmates and snuggle-buddies she's always wanted. It's a jog to see her in her right place.

I'm grateful for my transformed home and yard.

I'm grateful that I no longer feel pulled in a dozen different directions.

I'm grateful for my reliable Subaru station wagon.

I'm grateful to be of service and to be paid well for what I do.

I'm grateful for the quiet engine of my car and the cd player. The music makes the distance between point A and point B enjoyable. If there's a delay, all the better since it prolongs my time in this pleasant , peaceful cocoon.

I'm grateful for a safe, harmonious holiday season.
