HAIKU
“A haiku is not a poem, it is not literature; it is a hand beckoning, a door half-opened, a mirror wiped clean. It is a way of returning to nature, to our moon nature, our cheery blossom nature, our falling leaf nature; in short, to our Buddha nature. It is a way in which the cold winter

Read first or once or whatever

More Never Ending Haiku is the name of this area of the Haiku pod.

It isn't wil's corner.

While I established the rule,  and the original threads, you are welcome, open, encouraged to add your own threads and your own twists if so inclined.

You all are awesome in your contributions and willingness to create.

As if you needed permission, you don't but you've got it anywho…

No worries Mila, tis funny when one goes thru and knocks them all down.

Is there any tension that in the time it takes to accomplish it that someone might slip in and add something to a thread??

Great little mind builder though, a haiku gauntlet, working on appropriate 5-7-5s watching syllables, constructing thought, gotta be beneficial.

Myself I get a lot out of reading through a thread, seems like some gems are inserted that I never caught or get a new understanding of.

This moring I was contemplating the history of this little experiment.  Almost  6 months old.

The haiku that never ends ran till a little over 200 and I stopped it and made number 2 (oh now isn't that TMI ) after it hit around a 100 posts I added number 3 and opened number one back up.  When 3 hit 75 we opened IV, and when nature hit 50 replies we added number 5.

And on and on it goes, great threads, great contemplation, wonderful reading, neurons stretching, good stuff.

I think that seems to be a good mark, when the lowest one hits 50, it has allowed it to make its mark, folks to gain an understanding of its flavor, become part of the family, and then we can add another to the mix…

We are getting close, keep contemplating.

I gotta say what a lovely community.  The friends, nature and divine threads are just incredible, the love, compassion and understanding I read, see, feel are soooo intense.  I love you guys!

The the fun threads, daily, humor, and now the story…what a blast, a respite, a haiku vacation of sorts.

Of course there were our first two threads, which well just go on and on aimlessly and beatifully and the first defined topic thread of allowing, which has some absolutely wonderful insights.

They are all great reading.  Like a good movie, they cause emotions, tug at our heart, make us laugh, cry and scratch our collective heads….what's not to like.

Me, three!

When I miss to haiku in a day, I can't sleep! Now, I call that positive addiction, an investment to my spiritual development. How can't it be? It keeps me insightful, inspired, alive, sensitive, responsive, thoughtful, soulful…..smiling and laughing outside and within.

Haiku helps me explore deeper places i would never find in my mind.
Thank you some Wil for helping me find my muse.

Just a note you gorgeous prolific haikuers.

Last Friday I was thinking, wow this thing has really got on a roll, just puttin out some great stuff.  And I wrote down how many posts were in the NEH section…1403 it was, and this mornig when I turned on the computer, 1602, 200 posts, 200 haikus in one week, incredible.

Also lately a few of us have taken to contemplations in the middle of NEH posts, I am so enjoying these in concert with your haikus some extended thoughts.  Have I told you how much I love you?

peace all,

wil

I was gone campin with the scouts this weekend…

I got to tell you the musical links in the haiku are AWESOME.

I thought I felt connected to you guys reading your haiku.

Listening to your musical selections attached to the haiku adds a whole 'nother dimension.

I borrowed the NEH concept from another forum.

All invention, all growth stands on the shoulders of those who have gone before us.

Mistakes by others become inspiration to the next generation.

Successes by others springboard folks into action and set the bar, pave the way.

This to me is the essence of life and it seems also the never ending haiku.

Allowing one to be inspired by what came before, see the missteps and attempt to avoid them yourself and knowing that you are not responsible to create the be all end all perfect solution, but just the next step for someone else to add on to.

The concept of NEH provides us a safe space to explore together beautifully, without competition, without conflict, just growth.

Just a thought to revive some NEH threads that has become ohhh sooo long that it takes time to reach to the end and add another haiku.  Perhaps, the long ones can be archived, and then a part 2 started as a new topic? What'd you think, haikuista sisters and brothers?

oh my was I chuckling this morning.

I'm reading through the most recent additions, not from the threads but simply from the 'new' page.

so I end up confusing the never ending story thread with the food thread and have folks swiming naked in coffee enjoying jalepeno jam off each other…or some such thing…

my little world is such fun sometimes I don't know why I go out the door….

You have all done it!!

Over 3000 posts to the Never Ending Haiku board!!

That makes well over 3000 haiku as sometimes some of you get quite prolific in one post.

I've had untold hours of enjoyment reading an contemplating your prose.

True enjoyment, you've stretched my mind, raised my consciousness, made me laugh, made me cry, built new neuronets, allowed me some insight into your world.

I've been blessed.

I thank you.

Look forward to writing more sometime soon…
