HAIKU
“A haiku is not a poem, it is not literature; it is a hand beckoning, a door half-opened, a mirror wiped clean. It is a way of returning to nature, to our moon nature, our cheery blossom nature, our falling leaf nature; in short, to our Buddha nature. It is a way in which the cold winter

NEH IV ~ inspired by nature

Wil said Apr 16, 2008, 7:19 AM:

Same NEH rules

5-7-5-7-5-7-5…..

Something  in nature, earth, wind, fire, water or plant, animal, mineral, from atoms to gravitational webs  we are all one and connected.

The chicken or egg
The question is, what came first
what does it matter

Whatta flood of memories and then it dawned on me that some may not have had the joy of swimming in the ocean.  While the salt doesn't sting much for me in my eyes, I've never got used to the taste when I get a mouthful.

Imagine being about chest deep in water with waves coming at you that are 2-4 foot swells….that is the surging wave.  Now you can take it in your face or over your head as it curls, or you can make this 'frolic leap' a comical jump underwater trying to keep your head above water.  It often works.  Now if the wave is not curling, if you are beyond the break and just experiencing the roll of the swell this frolic leap becomes a little hop to insure your head floats and bobs above the water line and then you regain your footing in the trough.  It is such fun, you become a part of a group of people you do not know, all together anticipating the next swell, all laughing and spitting.  I can taste the salt.

In a frolic leap
I join with all creation
