Hello Holosyncers

I've always been interested in purchasing the Awakening Prologue but never had the chance to speak to people about their experiences with Holosync until now. I'm glad that this Pod exists and that you all are sharing your experiences with this system. I think I'm going to purchase Awakening Prologue and post my experiences here. Take care.

Hi Healan,

Welcome to the pod!

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences. There's lots of material to read in this pod, and also, feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Peace,

Hi Y'all!

I'm currently on AL1 Disc 4. I started practicing Transcedental Meditation (TM) about 8 years ago at a difficult time in my life and it really sorted me out. But after a while I found the mantra I was using to be an intrusion and relished those moments of deep meditation when the mantra and everything else would drop away. So I sought out other methods such as vipassana that concentrate on the breath and finally found Holosync after a good friend mentioned it to me about a year ago ;-)
I still use my mantra from time to time, particularly when my mind is extremely active or I get alot of energy moving through my body during Holosync but I seem to be using it less these days. I find Genpo Roshi's Big Mind really compliments Holosync, as both Genpo and Bill have mentioned.
I really enjoyed Bill's recent post about Holosync and enlightenment and it has been an issue I've been thinking about alot recently. Is it possible to attain enlightenment, or even experience samadhi (a blissful state) while using Holosync? As such an interior experience has a  corresponding objective correlate in the brain as a brainwave state, isn't Holosync keeping you in a state that prevents samadhi and enlightenment if you're on a lower level? I think it does.
However,  I think once you get up off your cushion or out of your chair and carry that state into your day, you become, as Ken Wilber would say, more “accident prone”. He said 'enlightenment happens by accident and meditation makes you more accident prone' and I think that sums it up beautifully. When Holosync has entrained your brain and kept it in a state, the state is determined by the device, but once you get up and walk away anything can happen. Its like giving a skate-boarder a dodgy knee before going out on the ramps (going through life) as he's more likely to fall (fall awake). I've had my most profound meditative experiences after using Awakening Prologue so it just goes to show I think once you set the stage, you're ready to fall anytime. It doesn't matter what level you're on or where you are as long as you're open and you can hold that space that makes it possible.
I appologise for the lengthy post. I believe in making a good entrance (and a graceful exit ;-) I hope this helps anyone. Any thoughts? Namaste.

Much Love,

Andy

Just poppin' in to say “Welcome Andy”.

Perhaps at a lower level, unless you've been a long time meditator prior to starting Holosync, I think you're very unlikely to fall into “samadhi”.  But I think that if conditions are right, at some of the upper levels, it is quite possible to enter that mind-space.  I have many times continued on in an “awake” state, just barely aware that I had a body, at the end of immersion.  I am currently on Purification 2, disc 2, and what I've found that this state usually occurs for me around the third to fourth week into each disc, since the Awakening Three level.  I wrote a poem about it - it's on my web-site.

I found Bill's blog post on this interesting, but he lost me several times in his long-way around approach.  This isn't complicated - in fact if you make it complicated, you just don't get it, and will likely never experience it.

Anyways, good first post, and looking forward to hearing more from you as you continue with the program.

Gem ~ :-) ~

Hi Ya'll!

Well just a little post to let you all know how I'm doing with the Dive. Today is day 12 of using the Dive (2 more days until I use Immersion). I just finished with my session and I must say I had an experience I haven't had yet while using Holosync. I will try to explain it to the best of my ability. Please keep in mind I have no experience in meditation.

I started the session with my usual “awareness” (i love the sound of the bells and the rain). after awhile my awareness faded away. i wouldn't call it blacking out because “I” was still there. I know I didn't fall asleep. I wasn't sleeping and I wasn't fully aware, but there was a part of me that was there experiencing. Sorry if it's not the best description of my experience but that's the only way I can describe it. It felt very restfull.

Well, I'll keep everyone posted but so far my general impression of the Dive is a good one. I can't really put my finger on exactly what is going on when i listen to the soundtrack but I can “feel” something happening, it's so subtle that it's hard to describe.

Hi Hae,

What a beautiful experience!  Thanks for sharing =)  I had something similar when I was doing the Dive only; I felt like there was a vast space around me, and I was a tiny dot… or I was watching the tiny dot.  I couldn't tell.

Enjoy Immersion!

Blessings,
Elizabeth
