Deep bow, handshake, and questions

Elizabeth said Jul 20, 2008, 9:22 AM:

Hello to everyone here at the Holosync group!  I have a question regarding the technology:

1) I've been listening to the demo CD for about a week, and yesterdasy I received and listened to the Dive on Awakening Prologue.  For this whole week, I've been having a ringing in my ears, moreso my right ear.  It's becoming gradually more present and insistent.  I'm not going to listen to anything today, and see if it goes away.  Has anyone else here experienced this problem?  I googled “Holosync ear ringing” and found threads where people decided to quit the program.  What I'd like to know is, has anyone had this ear ringing problem and continued anyway, and then it got better?  I haven't called customer support yet, but I plan on doing that tomorrow (Monday).

Some of the positives I've noticed immediately is waking up earlier, and feeling more refreshed.  I really want to continue the program, as this in itself is reason enough.

Thanks much!

Hi Elizabeth,

When I started meditating, before Holosync (HS), I started to hear ringing in my ears.  I thought it was kinda cool, like listening to energy or something like that.  I believe I started hearing the sound because I quieted my mind where-as before I didn't even notice it.  That was on and off for about a year.  Then I started with HS and heard the ringing just about every-time I listened, usually afterwords it was more prevalent.  As before, I hear it usually when my mind was quiet or I was focusing on it.  It doesn't bother me but I have heard similar reports to what you've read about.

I've been using HS for about 7 years now and just as before, it comes and goes.  When I'm doing something which occupies my mind I don't notice it and then at others times it's just there.  I still like to “witness” it and enjoy the flow of energy, LOL.

I hope this helps …

Kind Regards,

  Larry

Hi Larry,

Yes, this is a great help.  Many thanks!  Your experience of the ringing sounds pretty similar to mine, and it's nice to know that it doesn't have to be a big deal.  Seems like a great example of following the advice, “Let whatever happens be ok” =)

I developed a humming/ringing in my right ear some 2-3 months after returning from a very deep meditation course in India (21-day Process, as it was called then) and having moved to a very quiet private estate in Scotland (Penninghame House).

I do not recall hearing this before, but I used to wake up at night and hear it. I finally realised it was in my head when I tried to follow the sound out into the woods in the dark …

I have always had a singing/whistling in my ears (very low level) for as long as I can remember - my Mother suffered from tinitus for many years so they may be related (?).

When reading the Holosync website (having started the Awakening Prologue) concerning the affirmations working by exercising the inner ear I had hopes that maybe the humming in my right ear would go. I kept waiting for this to happen over several months, then I just gave up hoping it would change.

Just recently I realised the humming has stopped. I didn't notice it go but that is just the way it is I guess …

Sometimes after listening to the Dive/Immersion I notice a ringing in my ears when it's over but, it does not last.

Changes can be obvious, or they can be so gradual you don't notice. Some things happen that you don't expect, and some things don't happen you hope for. This is a long program and patience and willingness to go with it probably helps, as does doing some other development work/yoga etc. (to help smooth the bumps).

Good luck  :o)

Thanks again for your personal reflections; they've helped a lot.  Here's an update for anyone else who'e experienced the ringing:  I went ahead and continued with the program, and now I'm having the same experience Roobarb described.  There is a ringing present, and it's stronger after I listen to the CD, but it's not invasive.  In fact, if I'm not thinking about it, I can't even hear it at all.

On the other hand, I've been having some crazy dreams.  My particular favorite was last week, where I was swimming very fast and easily on the surface of this dirty water.  I didn't mind that it was dirty.  I swam all the way up to the edge of a waterfall, and hesitated, then decided to dive over the edge.  I landed in some pristine, clear blue water.  Love it! =)
