A Brief Introduction

AlcheMystic said Oct 12, 2008, 10:39 PM:

Hello.

I purchased the Holosync program about a month ago and so far have listened to it a few  times.  I truly aim to create consistency this week!  Deborah was kind enough to tell me about htis pod and here I am!  I am hoping that my participation in this pod will help me in creating consistency with my meditation practice.

I haven't gone far enough to have too many questions…yet!  I have gone through some of the discussions in the pod and found them helpful.  The one question I do have is regarding quality of earphones.  If I remember correctly, Centerpointe sells a set by Sony.  Has anyone here bought them?  Any particular brands or types that you recommend?  For now I am using a walkman and the earphones that came with that. No particular brand name that I can think of.

I look forward to getting to know you guys and sharing experiences.

Namaste!

Mimi

Hi Mimi,

Welcome to the pod!

I use these headphones. They have a very good frequency range, so you can use them throughout the Holosync program.

Welcome MImi,

I had been watching for your Intro as we had discussed that you had joined this pod.  Sorry, I've been diverted elsewhere and just caught up with this news today.

I listen to a CD player everyday during my hike, for sleeptime audios and for Holosync, of course.  I go through alot of earphones and have used many Sony earphones.  Certainly, they are good enough and you can even by them at low cost providers like Walmart.

The last time I replaced them, I was lucky enough to just pick up a pair of earbuds by Creative Labs at Circuit City on a whim.  The sound quality was so much better, that it really got my attention.  I highly recommend them.  The cost was comparable.

Hi Mimi,

Welcome and I look forward to hearing about your Holosync(HS) journey.

As per the headphones, a while back I bought the Sony that were reccommended and they have worked fine for 5 plus (I lost count) years and still going.

I also have a set for night, very light and easily thrown aside if they become irritating.

I also use the Bose noise cancelling ones.  Lost of comments about whether they work or not…but so far I can't tell the difference.  The main reason I use them is because they help with the “outside” subliminal noises which gives the stero input line more clarity.  I will also use them for quiet meditation without HS as the “silence” is truly golden.  It's never totally quiet but the white noise is significantly reduced.

Kind Regards,

Larry
