Hi Folks,
This question may have been raised before, if not, here it is.
Upon reading the Centerpointe literature for the technological needs for the advanced levels, namely Delta stimulation, I started having doubts about the validiity of the claims for some of the levels in Holosync.
Here is a series of correspondence I had with a friend who is also working with Holosync
By the way, as I mentioned before and something Holosync did not address is that its not just the headphones. I can't remember off the top of my head what the lowest frequency is that holosync produces, but it's a simple issue.
You can get headphones that produce a low frequency…what about the CD player? Finding one that will reproduce that low frequency is difficult…and don't forget the amplifier! I found a few that came close (not completely matching the lowest frequency though), and are expensive.
Just a thought.
Call them. Research the lowest frequency that Holosync claims to reproduce as a carrier signal and then look up the low end frequency range of your CD player and your amplifier. Its a problem if the CDs have very low frequencies encoded but your equipment won't reproduce it.
Response:
I just talked with a Centerpointe representative about the headphones, etc. She said that the headphones aren't needed until the series after Awakening. I am not remembering the name right now. I am on the 4th level of Awakening, so I will get headphones in a couple months or so. The Centerpointe support individual said that the CD player was not significant in the process; the headphones were the most important. I will be purchasing the ones they recommend, which are Sony MDR V-600.
Response:

Technical Data Frequency response (headphones) 12…..39,000 Hz Nominal impedance 300 Ω Sound pressure level (SPL) 97 dB (SPL), at 1 mW Total harmonic distortion (THD) 0.1 % Weight w/o cable 9.2 oz. (260 g)
Regarding Centerpointes response, I'll say…give me your rationale. I'm not an electronics engineer or expert, but it would seem that it would be against the laws of physics to reproduce a frequency range that equipment is not capable of reproducing.
The only thing I can think of is the very low frquency response they report is there but is not necessary for results. I am not knocking Holosync, I have a few discs myself. Its a great product. I just don't want to buy into the snake oil..there's been too much New Age muck over the years I've waded through.
Im looking for clear cut answers where its possible to have one within reason. Dealing with Stats on recordings and electronic equipment and then linking it to claims of putting you in a permananet state of consciousness, I need an explanantion why the CD player is not significant in the process.
I say bullshit. If the digital to analog converter in the CD palyer does not produce the frequency range Centerpointe claims is needed for SOME of their recordings, then I call that snake oil salesmanship unless they give me a good reason why.
Thats my take on it.
P.S.
Here on the specs for Sony MDR V-600. They have it good on the low end of the frequency range at 5 Hz (the Sennheiser is 12 Hz) Sonys top end is 30,000 Hz (Sennheiser 39,000 Hz).
