Neuro Programmer 2

Well I think I've decided to take the plunge and buy the professional version of Neuro Programmer 2, so that I can make all my own sessions. I'm about three months into Awakening Prologue, and already have the next couple levels (borrowed), but have decided that I want to experiment a little on my own. There are some smart people over at the Neuro Programmer forum, some of whom are doing sessions closely modelled on Holosync. I want to do something similar. It'll take some self-discipline, of course, but it'll be great to be able to customise the volume of the binaurals (I'd like them a little louder than on Holosync, I find the burbling very soothing) as well as fiddle with the rain, add more thunder maybe, use some better sounding bowls for the Dive , and make custom 80 or 90 minute sessions, possibly going through several delta frequencies in one session (like the Meditation Solution guys do it). It'll also be interesting to be able to make more custom alpha, theta and beta sessions.

Neuro Programmer 2 (professional version) only costs about 40 Euros. When I compare that to the cost of Holosync, and even the somewhat cheaper alternatives, it definitely seems like it's worth a shot. It's risky not being part of the structured Centerpointe program any more, I'll just have to see how good I am at disciplining myself.

Has anyone else here played around with Neuro Programmer 2?

I played around with the free version.

What I found was that their were a couple of cool programs that I could use while doing other stuff on my computer. IOW programs that used isochronic beats instead of binaural beats and that used alpha+theta frequencies.

As for making one's own version of Holosync: I think it's entirely doable, but it requires dedication, some technical understanding and a lot of discipline. For most people it's probably easier to buy Holosync, but I think it's great that some people do it themselves and experiment further with the technology,

I love the simplicity of Holosync and I payed for the whole program years ago :)

Yep it's a little daunting to start doing things on your own. I'm continuing with Holosync for the time being for this reason, and doing some extra NP2 sessions on the side, including starting to make some Holosync-style sessions. Eventually I will probably go over to only using NP2 sessions. It'll be fun to experiment with different background sounds. Although to start with I might just pilfer the rain sounds from Holosync. :-P I might regret leaving the tried & tested Centerpointe program behind, but I'm feeling a little adventurous about this stuff. I should stick at 140hz (carrier) for another month or so, but I'm actually jumping ahead to 120Hz. Holosync normally jumps from 120Hz to somewhere around 90Hz for AL2 I think - I might try going down the carriers faster, but in smaller increments. Interesting stuff, I'll report back here with results. :-)

You can do both. I've done HS with NP2 and pzizz and other things without ill effects. You have to be careful not to overdo it but I find that quite often an NP2 session will sort of prime me for a change and then HS will bring that change into effect. Mind Stereo is worth a try too.

Cool. Yeah I'm continuing with Holosync for the moment, at least until I trust my own delta sessions to be as effective. I have to admit, the Holosync sessions do sound very very good - I doubt I'll be able to make something that sounds as polished. Next to Holosync I'm using NP2 for some beta and theta sessions, but indeed I'm trying to not overdo it too much.

I'm really curious about Transparent's new product called Mind Workstation, really wonder what the features are. Has anyone here been involved with the beta testing?

So yesterday and today I listened to home-made Delta sessions for the first time. It's my first one, modelled on AL 1 CD 2 (ramping down to 1.5hz). I used rain from Holosync (used a high-pass filter to just have the rain), my own Tibetan bowls CD (also filtered off lower frequencies), and binaurals that ramp down just like Holosync. I exported the binaural track from NP2 and then mixed it all in Audacity so I had more control over the volume of each track. The main thing I did differently from Holosync is make the binaurals quite a bit louder.

Surprisingly, this morning it actually seemed MORE powerful than the corresponding Holosync CD. I really love the louder binaurals. It needs a little polishing, and the bowls track needs some work, but so far I'm really happy with it, it felt very strong.

Yep I think so, there is good information around about the structure of the first few levels - the later ones nobody really seems to know for sure, but I've been reliably informed that these ones are accurate:

AP - 140
AL1 - 120
AL2 - 90
AL3 - 80
AL4 - 60
PL1 - 50

YES, I am one of the ones Bill talks about in his lectures - about being bothered by the bird! lOl

Something about the sounds of the bird over chirping in the rain makes me crazed.

Not quite sure what you are referring to as “birds” sound on the regular Holosync CD's - I've noticed them on the “silent affirmation” track on the Longevity CD, though, but felt they blended in nicely with the idea of being near the ocean waves. :) Actually, there is a sound like a phone ringing on the Dive, though, that has often jumped me out of a deeper state, thinking it was my phone ringing. LOL I finally fixed that problem by unplugging my phone before Diving, so now I can ignore the sound. I think perhaps if you decide that the sound fits into the scheme of things, you are no longer looking for it, and it sort of slides into the background. That's what I did with the ringing sound.

I do know that there are a few “rough” patches on the Dive part of Holosync, where it sounds a bit scratchy when whomever was doing the “bowls” came in a little sharp - perhaps that's what you mean?

Unless you deconstructed the whole thing (which I'm not sure is possible) in NP2, I doubt you can get rid of the “birds”. I would suggest posting on their forum - perhaps someone there has figured out what to do.

Another thought is that if this is standing out for you, perhaps your listening volume is a bit loud. That's only a guess, though.

This is a great program. I started to mess around with it again earlier today after having finished the free trial version earlier this year. It's great for making your own sessions or just listening to its exstensive list of already made ones. With what I think is a free 14 day trial it's definitely worth checking out.

I actually caught a thread while surfing the net last night of a guy who went through the whole holosync program (all thirteen levels) and actually regretted paying all the money it cost.
