Friends, feathered/furred & scaled down,
I'm in and see only familiar faces here,
I don't know Dov very well yet, but despite rumours to the contrary, I know he's not just a pretty face.
He's a care bear,
A rare bear,
A fair bear,
A share Bear,
A truth-or-dare bear,
& so much else.
Tharlan, according to popular rumour “isn't even a pretty face”.
Nicole is a pretty face, but so much more.
I'd better stop now,
looking fwd to this pod,

Hi, Bear and everyone - this looks grrrrrrrrrrreat!  To paraphrase a certain Tony the Tiger of US Kellog cereal fame :-).  My inner children, complete with several stuffed animals including two dragons and a Great Dane puppy are joining in eagerly -

The stuffed animal collection:  white, purple and honey colored teddy
bears, two stuffed dogs, a black leopard, and the two dragons.  There's
also a rainbow dragon kite and purple fairy kite - and y'all are
welcome to play with any that draw your interest :-).

Dov - thanks for cultivating this group [warm smile].

happy hugs -

Hi Dov! and others…
really? we can just be silly and not get all serious and stuff?
great idea!
the moon went into gemini a bit ago, and I can breathe deep again!
and the sun just set… so I must be waking up, hahahaha.
planned on painting today. but somehow the day slipped on by…
perhaps paints will get wet in a bit…
who had that panther???
I have white tigers! and a siamese cat and yellow lab!
at least they are the only stuffed animals I have here right now…
somewhere at my daughters is a box of my first 2 ever stuffed animals,
a gray elephant without an eye (I pulled it very early) and a peach bear!
so can our tigers and panther play a while?
I wonder what happened to my other stuffed animals… I had 11.
and when i went to overnite camp at 9 I was told to bring just one..
who can chose a favorite kid? so I took them all the first year,
to realize I had to make my bed and move them every day… oy!
the next year I did not bring any to camp… they stayed home & waited for me…
the mind of the child… couldn't leave any of them out.
I still am that way, dont want to hurt any one…
so sitting here listening to bob dylan with roomie.
and I remember all the words… just like a woman.
already heard highway 61… that highway of life we all travel on.
to end up on the same highway!
thank you for this new site, I need some air and lightness back in my life!!!
oh, and I do have a dalmation and german shepherd here too,
the kinds you need to feed and walk everyday, thank goodness for roomie!
hope spring has brought all its green glory to you all!
I am adding a watercolor I did last week of the desert and summer storms in ariz!
happy days ahead! peacelovelight… Margo

Big huggles, Margo!

I know how you feel about leaving any one out - I always have a hard time when I go and stay over night somewhere - which one to bring!? Now, I can absolutely not sleep without at least one stuffed critter beside me! So it's  a bit of a problem. But I came up with a solution - If one goes with me, the rest have to stay home and keep an eye on things - make sure the monsters don't take over the bedroom. And like Sylvia, I have to make sure it can breathe, so it travels with it's head sticking out of the bag. [edit: It is usually the newest one that get to go with me - that way they all have a chance a traveling at least once, so they know if they like it or not, and those who don't like to travel, don't have to!]

I have gotten some long looks over the years, but who cares - people who think I am crazy for traveling with a stuffed critter can bite me!

Happy Hugs,
Dov and BearBoy

altho he is kinda cute… hope he travels ok by himself… maybe I should send someone to go with him in the mail?

Hi there, Valerie :)

I am so happy to see you join in!

You can jump in anywhere at any time you feel ready - mind you though that the Boys' Treehouse is off-limits for posting to girls as the Tomboys' Secret Hideout and Tigerlily's Pink Room is off-limits for posting to boys - on the pain of catching an odd strain of Cooties that makes you colorblind and causes hallucinations. We do have a An Anti-Cooty Spray, but the Anti Cooty Patrol may not been in the house, so be ware! :D

Happy Playing!

Hi Bear.

My bear is Taco 'cause my sister named her bear Amigo cause he was her friend, but the only other Spanish word I knew was Taco. Taco goes around under my arm. I'm not talking so much because I have my thumb in my mouth right now. Some times are like that and groan ups say to take my thumb out of my mouth, but they don't seem to understand that it is a thumb in mouth kind of time. Why would you take your thumb out of your mouth if it wasn't time?

This is what I think: Make the best out of everything. I have a cataract on my eye right now and I can't see very well. Because of it, words have started acting very silly. When I can't see the words instead of just seeing a blur, I see things wrong and my brain is very entertaining about wrong words. I looked at the opening words for this room and I thought it said to come in and take off our shoes and go running through the fridge. Before I can figure out that is silly, my brain has imagined the whole thing and there I am running through the fridge … after shrinking suitably, of course. Since I took my shoes off, everything in here is COLD. If you get into the place where the jam spilled a little and you get your feet coated real well with jam you can walk upside down stuck to the shelf - for as long as the jam lasts! When the jam gives out and you plump down, you can hope that you fall in the jello mold. Bouncing on jello is stupendous, you bounce on the surface and then every so often you get really going and you sink in up to your knees!  I'm going to climb up to the second shelf and dive into the pitcher of lemonade that is on the first shelf. SPLOOOSH!

I'm staging excerpts from “Swan Lake” in the Brownies. Sit down on a yogurt carton and join us. After my “Dying Swan” which I plan to do with celery leaves we will adjourn to the microwave where the yellow Peeps will be jousting with the pink Peeps. You put them on a plate, each one armored with a tooth pick (or if you are an advanced armorer, plastic swords!)  pointing at his foe. Then you turn on the machine and let the joust begin! As the Peeps get bigger and bigger their lance gets closer and closer to the foe! Who will be first to be PIERCED!? Watch through the little glass window and see!
