If I was absolutely sure I would take my dog to the vet and let him go peacefully and give me and the Wife a strong dose of some sedative climb into bed with her and fall asleep happy by her side.

Why?
Because I don't want any of us to suffer.

I'm finding this a tough question somehow! I know I would want to make sure to be in touch with as many people as I care about as I could. - it's a good thing to ponder, Dov, as the saying goes:

someone asked me this years ago… i responded I would call my best friend and tell her I loved her.
now that would be my daughter.
if the phones were out, i would just paint, and maybe shake my fist at …
turn on some music if we had electricity… and just dance! been a grand life!!! ♥

I don't know what I would do.
I could say I would phone everyone up and tell them I love them, but I'd probably end up crying and upset all I spoke to.
So, I spose I would meditate, travel to each in turn and give them a huge hug.
Then snuggle up with my daughter and our pets.
Gosh this has got me crying!
It's so sad.

If I KNEW (for certain) that the world would end tomorrow? …

… I'm fairly confident that I would eat as much red licorice as I possibly could.  Who cares about the calories or a stomach ache at that point?!

Hi, Laurie - red licorice, hmmm?  Do you have a Trader Joe's near you?  Their Australian red licorice is especially yummy - and I find slightly less addictive than other kinds - I think the sweeteners they use are somewhat easier on the digestive system.

As far as the end of the world question?  I'd probably go be with my sisters of the heart and their kids.  I love them *dearly* and don't usually do well with the level of noise they (and various foster teenagers and pre-school girls) generate at any given moment.

Or I might blow what money I have on a ticket to Vancouver, British Columbia.

gentle blessings -

Sylvia -

Yes, I've tried Trader Joe's red licorice and it is good.  Kookaburra licorice from Australia is outstanding.  But the BEST red licorice in the entire galexy (and that covers a lot of territory) is from Finland - Halva Red Finnish Sweet Licorice (strawberry).

I like black licorice! Sylvia, maybe we could both go to Vancouver. What an awesome place,

Sylvia -

In the event you have not tried black licorice at the same time as crystalized ginger, it is a taste combination extraordinaire!  Your taste buds don't know quite what happened.  The one thing they do know for certain is that they are deliriously happy!

Hi, Laurie and Nicole - sounds like I'll be picking up some black licorice the next time I go to Trader Joe's ;-).  Already have crystallized ginger.  Will be looking for some papaya enzymes, too [appreciative smile].

And yes, Vancouver is awesome.  I still sometimes go for renewal in spirit to a wooded mountainside boulder overlooking the harbor from North Vancouver  10 years after I was there physically.  It was fun to revisit the area through Sherrilene's eyes when she was there recently.

thanks!

Sylvia, I'm hoping to go this summer. My sister lives there and there is a good work-related excuse :) to get there, I think.

Will have to pick up both ginger and licorice if I can find them! :)

Hugs,

Nicole
