Hello Mia - welcome!

I'm late in playing today because I've been on the receiving end of Mother's Day … and enjoying it very much.  Part of our yearly tradition includes planting flowers and a salsa garden (tomatoes, peppers, garlic, onions, cilantro).  My husband makes The Best salsa in the universe!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you,

- Laurie

Hi, folks - Laurie, that salsa garden sounds yummy :-).  What type(s) of peppers?

For those who love and/or are curious about bubbles - I found this site in my explorations.

Sylvia -

Great minds think alike … I used a photograph of a bubble this morning when I answered the question of the day http://holessence.gaia.com/blog

The types of peppers that we planted today are serrano, banana, jalapeno and habanero.

Hi, Laurie - what a great photograph!  And thank you for the link to the blog - something that I'll tuck inside to reflect on.

I take it you and your family like your salsa on the … fiery … side?  [wink]  Though I occasionally like really spicy foods, usually they don't agree very well with my innards - so banana peppers tend to be more to my taste [s].  If any of your nicely ripe ones go missing … don't look too quickly … I/we may be hiding in the pepper leaves [impish grin].

Laurie, that bubble was perfect in your blog today. Sylvia, we like spicy foods in our family but opted for a Greek restaurant for the Mother's Day meal, so it was not very hot :)

mia, glad you popped in!

Hugs,

Nicole

Sylvia -

Yes, we tend to be firey folks (both of us Scottish, to boot!).  When our son was little and we'd go out to eat at a Mexican restaurant, he would pull over the salsa bowl (the one they provide in advance with the chips) and eat it with a spoon like soup.

If you enjoy spicy food, but it doesn't like you …. you may want to give Papaya Enzymes a try.  You can get them at your local health food store in the vitamin/supplement section.  Papaya Enzymes are chewable and taste good.  They are known as the “After Meal Supplement” and are FANTASTIC for your digestion on a number of levels.

Hi Nicole!

It sounds like you had a nice Mother's Day.  Greek food - yum!  What did you have?  Anything with the yogurt/cucumber sauce?  Oh, and the Greek (Calamatta) olives.  Gyros!  Okay, now I'm making myself hungry …

Hi Laurie!

Sorry, missed this. And now I am trying to remember what I had… :) I remember having a hard time finding vegetarian dishes. I think I ended up with a cheese pie and some other appetisers. The fresh bread and olives were delicious!

Now I'm getting hungry. Lunchtime…

:) Nicole
