Hey Mudge,

Once the link is "live" on the page, you can change the letters to your heart's content, as long as you are working with the live bits.

I think maybe what you are seeing is that you have the option to edit for fifteen minutes. Once that time is up, then you can no longer edit the post. But it should be there. If it is not, let me know, and please link to the discussion. I'll see what's going on.

I just wrote a comment to Tharlan's response to Q& R for 6/21/09. Re: earliest childhood memory.

I did not get the message "Comment/Response successfully added."
Rather it is in "editing for 15minutes".

I didn't ask to "edit".

What's happening?

Still having a problem. i tried to search for it again in "search groups". Ive also tried the box "what do you seek?" Still nothing doing. I mean, if you click on my profile, and look at groups i administer, you'll see it there. but i cant find it when i search for it.

Oops, I meant Search this Group uses only text for searching. I don't know what Search Groups looks at.

Also, it takes a little time for a new group to make it into the cache. If you're still having this issue, it may be a bug. Let us know!

Welcome and congrats, handsoftime. Please link to your group and your discussion. Which search box? Search this group, or Search Groups. They are very different. And they only search post text, not post titles. Maybe that info will help you. Not sure I understand your problem.

Hi Pat, you've got it! It's a way to send a message directly to someone openly so others can see it. Originally it was call "shouting out" - so you see sometimes we want to say something others can see. Sometimes info, sometimes hugs and appreciation...

So I just went to your profile page and clicked on "blog" from the left hand panel, then with my mouse copied the blog title. Now I can paste it here:

Since it's already there with your profile, if you copy it like I did, you could email the link to your friends, or put it up on your facebook.

Hello,

I'm really new here so I'm not sure I can do what I'm thinking of.

I just wrote an entry in my blog/journal thingy. I would like to post it, or at least link to it at my other blogs/social networking sites. I thought that if people would read my entry, they would come to Gaia. They may be interested in joining and then your community grows and my friend list grows. This seems like a really nice way to network.

But I can't figure out how I would like to the entry. Do I just link to my profile?

For example, to facebook that I wrote an entry here, how would I do it?

Thank you very much for your help. I've asked one other question here in the forums and I got the nicest answers back.
