I did not get the message “Comment/Response successfully added.”
Rather it is in “editing for 15minutes”. 

I didn't ask to “edit”.

I think maybe what you are seeing is that you have the option to edit for fifteen minutes.  Once that time is up, then you can no longer edit the post.  But it should be there.  If it is not, let me know, and please link to the discussion.  I'll see what's going on.
