I attend a wonderful spiritual community called Agape here in Southern California (Los Angeles). The Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith (can be seen in the movie “The Secret” for those of you who know of this - he's been on Larry King Live and on Oprah this February talking about “The Secret”)….Well “The Rev” as he's nicknamed often talks of the vibratory beings that we are. That to meditate and feel oursleves in a high vibration that is one with the universe, and one based in abundance, love, feeling good, possibility, and being in tune, is to be vibrating at a frequency that is so high that the lower frequencies (lack, fear, limitation, and being out of tune) are at too low a frequency to affect us as we are vibrating at a high enough frequency that we are consistently in tune (including AFTER we're done meditating). |

You asked how I got my name, so I cut and pasted the explanation that I have written in a blog from my myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/holdenhayes)… Ok, since I get asked multiple times in a week (sometimes in a day) about how I got my name, I'm going to give the story here and now, and simply refer any myspacers to this blog who ask me. I often get asked, “So, were you named after Holden Caulfield of Catcher and the Rye?” OR something similiar to this. The answer is: No, I was not named after Holden Caulfield of Catcher and the Rye…Actually, I think that's where my mother first heard of the name, but how I got the name is entirely different… Months before I was born (sitll in Mom's tummy) my parents were at the Indiana Dunes beach writing possible names for me in the sand and the water/tide would come and wash away each name that they wrote. Eventually, they wrote Holden and it didn't wash away - the writing stayed. So, later that day, they were at home and looking at a map of the Indiana Dunes and pinpointed where they were at earlier; However, low and behold, they noticed that on the map directly behind where they had been was an area named “Mount Holden” (a small summitt or large hill in the dunes)… So, as one would expect, they were rather amazed, and figured Holden must be the right name and THAT'S how I got my name. |

My first thought on reading your name was that it was from William Holden, the great film actor. A much cooler Holden to hail from, people-wise, but I adore your names-in-the-sand story even better! |

Dearest Ocean, I am months late in responding to your post and I apologize for my tardiness. However, I feel as if the cosmos has led me back to Gaia at such an opportune moment and that makes me believe that all is as it was meant to be. |
