The Koran

thor [no longer around] said May 8, 2007, 6:57 PM:

Dear friends
I have started reading the Koran (the Qur’an) – an interesting book - a channelled message said to be channelled from the Archangel Gabriel – well a channelled message? Hmm..
But I am a bit confused – I keep getting a desire for whipped cream in my coffee whilst reading….. could it be my desires? Or .. something else?
Until now I read about 100 pages in this book and I discovered some patterns in the narrative – it goes like this:
1.
In the name of God, the Lord of mercy, the giver of Mercy.
You must believe in God (‘believing’ (following his guidance) includes following the rules given by all God’s messengers like Jesus, Mohammed and others) otherwise you will be punished.
The punishment is that you will spend your ‘afterlife’ in Hell – that is an eternal suffering in the tormenting flames.
Of course you can repent – and if you severely do so - you will be forgiven –ONCE!!
God is most merciful and forgiving.
2.
So the story goes on like this:
Here is a rule (a law) you must obey – if not you will be punished with the flames of Hell. Of course you can repent – and if you severely do so - you will be forgiven –ONCE!!
God is most merciful and forgiving.
Here is another rule (a law) you must obey – if not you will be punished with the flames of Hell. Of course you can repent – and if you severely do so - you will be forgiven –ONCE!!
God is most merciful and forgiving.
And so on - and so on.

No wonder if some people live their lives in fear.

Then I read this strange thing: “ God leaves whoever He will to stray, and sets whoever He will on a straight path.”
Oups – that means to me (I may be wrong so please enlighten me if you can) that God have already decided who is going to the flames and who is going to end up in Heaven. Then – what’s the point? Wherever I end up is God’s decision and all I can do is to follow the path he has put me on… to .. you may guess! Luckily I don’t like a cold environment.
Another weird thing clashes onto my eyes:
“ …nothing forbidden for people to eat, except for carrion, flowing blood, pigs meat – it is loathsome - or a sinful offering over which any name other than God’s has been invoked.”
Not very promising if you are a pig-farmer – BUT if you are a pig-farmer don’t give up your trade in despair – for the book continues: “But if someone is forced by hunger, rather than desire or excess, then God is most forgiving and most merciful.”

That was close! But it means to me that you can eat anything served – you just need to be hungry. – What a relief!!!
A law/rule we don’t have to follow if it doesn’t suit our needs??? I start getting the feeling that somebody is pulling my leg. Is this a wild-goose chase?
How can such things be taken seriously???
So I started pondering about Islam.
In this world we basically have two sides – the dark and the light.
That seems obvious as we also in our mind have a ‘dark’ and a ‘light’ side. A kind of Jin and Yang pattern that together makes a whole person.
Then I remember something that ‘Thoth-the-Atlantean’ wrote about The Creator:
“ Long I watched the Light-flame,
pouring forth from the Essence of Fire,
realizing that Life is but Order
and that man is one with the fire.”

If Thoth-the-Atlantean is right, then being put into the eternal flames isn’t a threat of being put in Hell - it is a promise of being send ‘home’ to God (The Creator).
That could indicate that maybe the Muslim belief, Islam, was created in order to balance with the Light-people in some Jin and Yang pattern? Remember their black stone in Mecca??
If so – then this ‘dark’ religion is needed for balancing humankind so we can become spiritually whole as a species.
The more people that enter the Light the more people are needed in Islam? - Could I be wrong if I think that both are growing rapidly for the moment??
So maybe it WAS the Archangel Gabriel who channelled this book after all.

love and light
