Hi,

I'm in the process of producing an international version of the movie and learning to use it as a teaching and awareness tool. love to discuss this with others!

My ideas are to use the key concepts presented in the movie and go deeper in them . Either by a lecture, or by group processes.

Does anyone have ideas?
I will share my experiences the coming months!

Howard Bloom is on a mission. In this book he shows the development of intelligence from single cells up to cultural evolution in human societies.

Bloom starts of with the statement that the global brain is not a human invention in the 21st century, but that it already existed in the primordial soup in bacteria colonies. Step by step he unravels the basic drivers of evolution and transformation to higher and higher levels of intelligence and interconnectedness.

It is amazing when reading trough the book to feel that a lot if intelligence that we basically consider to be human/ cultural intelligence is basically building on patterns that already existed in bacteria life, ants colonies and all kind of other life.

It unravels some of the mysteries of life and makes the reader understand that lots of unconscious social behavior is rooted much deeper into the history of evolution than thought by many. Freeing ourselves from these old patterns and roots to become cocreators with life makes a better understanding of these first chapters of evolution a necessary reading.

This is one of these amazing books. Lipton shows basically that the introduction of a quantum mechanical framework creates a total shift in the understanding of the intelligence of life. No longer can we see the genes and our DNA as fixed and the core of our intelligence. The real intelligence and flexibility of life, from bacteria, our cells and all multicellular life (humans, animals and plants) is their interaction with the environment.

The whole book reads as a science triller. It offers another bridge between science and spirituality.

Highly recommended.

Hello All and thank you Thierry for starting this thread. Barbara's movie is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in how we are evolving on the planet and how to look at it in a way that is actually hopeful. If you are interested in the 2012 mayan prophecy, you must watch this to receive some insights about the evolutionary "rightness" of the shift that has been prophsied there and other places. If you're like me, you may have some fear around what this shift is all about. That's why I thought the movie was so profound. I moved into a sense of the absolute perfection of the evolution we are going thru. Especially useful was the metaphor I had heard before around the "imaginal cells" of the caterpillar which assist in linking up to become the butterfly. This is the time for conscious evolution, we all play a role in the transformation from fear and separation to light and love. We only have to be who we are and do our work as it develops.

I can imagine that in some traditions the word God may not be spoken. For me, without any religious background in my youth, I can step out of the images and belief systems that religions created. And yet it is confusing.
I tend to see God in nature and in all that is life giving. And that is probably exactly why I am so inspired by Conscious Evolution. It is like this phrase by Rumi:
Beyond the disputes about being right or being wrong there is a field, I'll meet you there.
The field of oneness (maybe this is God?)

God is an archetype. In maps of consciousness we all have are beginnings of who we think God is. It’s a scary development . Me ;I was given a conscience that I now have to argue with .
Understand the nature of this argument in a legal sense, I also believe there is no sense in the law. Howecer , For the sake of argument ;
Let’s look at the first line in the constitution of the Canadian Bill of Rights.
The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.

Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law:

Fundamental Freedoms
All of law is based on interpretation. and that could be a very large discussion on whose opinion is right, I would like to narrow it down to where I am in contemplation.

The first line of the charter says,” Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law:”
principles that recognize the supremacy of God ?;
2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
;
b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
d) freedom of association
a) freedom of conscience and religion.

And along comes God . Archetype or real. We have the freedom to think through this map of history which rules our legal system. “supremacy of God “, Who’s God? Isn’t this what we really have to resolve, re solve?
