I recently listened to a one minute podcast called “The Wonder of You” wherein Deepak Chopra talked about how amazing the human body is. He said that we all started out as a single strand of DNA in a fertilized egg that replicated only 50 times. And, in that 50 times a 100 trillion cells were created which is more than all of the stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. Each cell does 6 trillion different things a second. And, each cell knows what the other cell is doing. |

some believe that their body and the senses are diverting them towards material benefits. It is our own fault and not the body or senses. We took this body to learn more for our own development. When this is forgotten the troubles arise. So it is better to nourish our body for our own spiritual benefits. |

My immediate sense is that if we learn to integrate ALL the gifts we have - body, mind and spirit - to achieve the BALANCE we can and will fulfill our sacred contract. I recently read something about Christopher Reeve (Superman) and how his identity was so wrapped up in his physique prior to his accident. After the accident he wanted to die but he persevered and he used his body AS IT WAS to move forward in his life. It goes to show that our bodies do not need to be PERFECT by any external measurement but that we would do best by ACCEPTING as is and doing the best that we can with what we've been given. Of course that means something totally different for everyone. love love love |

The idea of listening to our bodies is an interesting one, and it is one that I have had cause to ponder on very recently. I had an interesting experience the other day which was very enlightening to me about nutrients that I need to be aware of for my particular body needs. After consuming fruits and vegetables for a few days an ulcer developed around my inside gum area making it quite sore when I brushed my teeth. Then, from nowhere the idea occurred to me that I needed protein. The ulcer began to dissipate almost immediately after I ate some beans and meat. Now, I am mindful not to have juice that is highly concentrated in vitamin C unless I am accompanying my meals with protein content. Now, this works for me, but I understand that everybody's physical needs may differ from my own. Generally, I could get a craving for certain nourishment, such as orange juice, and find that I feel that some kind of healing has been achieved on a level beyond the physical when I follow-up on this. More and more, I get a picture of a dish that I would like to try, and following up on this I end up creating a new recipe. Exercise and rest is visited in the same way, really when I get a feeling to do either. I am learning to hear what my body is telling me, and reaping the benefits each time. It is very interesting. Cheers.. |

This was my post to the topic of What I learned about myself: I have been involved in a Nutritional Study at Arizona State University. Recording food intake, exercise, day to day habits. I'm a vegetarian, I know more about nutrition than most. I have to, not only am I a vegetarian but I have crazy issues with digestion! So through this study I will be learning so much, including if I am diabetic. My latest food issue is if I eat any sugar or too much carbs, I pass out. So for this study I had to go get blood drawn on an empty stomach..instead of the 12 hours they required, I went almost 24 because of my crazy schedule. So when I ate it was East Indian cuisine and there was plenty of carbs and some nice mango chutney. CRASH… I was done from around 1- 4:30 and the “hang over” feeling is unpleasant.
I've learned I'm ready to face this challenge and find solutions, (I must I am broadcasting the information here, I'm coming clean!) I'm learning a whole new boundary for self defeating behavior! I do not want to feel this bad and I need to reform! I go 6-8 days with an amazing dietary regime. NO Wheat, no sugar, I'll juice organic vegetables, and than I'll eat a 1/2 pint of ben and jerry's and be sick, well, it's only making me miserable, making it harder to study and is just plain self defeating. Yesterday was my first blood test in this battle, I'm sure I'll need a few more! But posting like this makes me feel like this is the first step in recovering from this set-back. About 24 hours prior to this Adrianus requested I join the Inner Guidance. As Universe would have it there is no coincidence! I not only made a new friend as a result of that blog, but here I am about to download the PDF work/study after viewing this lesson~ my first ~ everything is right on target! Thanks is such a small word for a a giant flood of feelings. My deepest gratitude for what you are doing and the giant outpouring of LOVE I am receiving from this first step! Namaste Valerie |

Body and Spirit are not differentAdrianus said Nov 16, 2008, 10:01 AM: |

Body, Mind and Spirit are not three different entities. In essence, they are all one. In order to exist, Spirit is involved in a never ending process of re-creation. This exciting process takes place here and now, in this glorious reality. This is where you and I come in. We are on the cutting edge of Divine creation. |
