A few questions related to all of the material

Zhakkai said Nov 25, 2007, 5:51 PM:

Meditation:  I have always had a huge problem quieting my mind.  It just never shuts up and has never been dsciplined.  It doesn't repond to “time out!” either.  So I have never gotten very far with meditation.

Until recently.  Recently, I discovered brain-sync meditation.  I read in William Buhlman's Secret of the Soul, that it took years and years of practice to reach the theta brain wave state in meditation, but with the brain sync CDs, he reached it within minutes.  So I went out and bought a brain sync cd.  I have done the meditation 3 times.  Each time I have experienced extreme heat going up from the base of my spine into my head.  And I have also gotten physically ill after the meditation.  I talked to a meditation coach I know.  She said I am going too fast.  Not to do the meditations every day.  And that the heat I am feeling is kundalini energy and that it can actually make someone insane, and that people have actually died.  That sounds so negative to me.  Why slow down when I have wanted this my whole life?  I am actually reaching higher states of conciousness and loving and learning from the meditation.  I am only doing 30 minutes a day.  I just wonder if anyone else knows why I am getting these physical sensations, and if I should do something differently?  The insights that come to me and the experiences I am having are incredible and beautiful, but I find myself reluctant to do it today, because I don't want to get physically ill afterwards.

Hmmm….maybe I should meditate about meditating?  :  )

And about a spirit guide.  Adrianus…Where did you get your owl?  I have meditated to meet my spirit guide, and so far no one has volunteered.  Do I just make one up?  If so, what state of consciousness would be best when requesting one from the universe?  What if I don't have one?

Can you tell I am inexperienced and just learning?  Well, I have been “just learning and focusing on my conscious belief system for about 15 years now,  and maybe I am naive about some things, but then again….maybe I am asking questions that others are too shy to ask.

Thank you for your knowledge and insight!

Love & Light
Zhakkai

Dear Zhakkai,

I'm not familiar with the brain-sync meditation CDs. However, Google informed me that they have been researched and are used in hospitals. I guess you're safe. The statement from the meditation coach that meditation-CDs may make you crazy or even inflict death seems farfetched. At least, I never heard of that, yet–if there is a parallel to be drawn–listening to some radio stations can be crazy making …

I heard you say two think; “I love it,” and “It makes me sick.”  These are two very clear and powerful statements from the one and only authority in the matter: YOU!  You may have felt sick because the music on the CD was spinning around, and you may be sensitive to motion. Or perhaps it's a healing response, or your body is telling you to slow down. You may want to ask yourSelf that question. Take a deep breath, close your eyes, ask and listen…

In the ClearView Conspiracy, I choose the owl to represent John's higher wisdom or Inner Guide. This was certainly inspired by my experience doing a Native American “journey.” On the sound of a drum, Native American chanting and a guided meditation, I went into a light trance to meet my Spirit Guide. At that time, I got a vivid image of a hawk circling in the sky.

But truly, if you don't get a vision, go with the animal you are attracted to most. In my humble opinion, images of Spirit Guides are aids for our mind to create distance from our daily drama, access our deeper knowing, and reach a higher consciousness. So, of all the animals, what animal are you attracted to most. After you've picked one, wonder why?

Zhakkai, you are a wise and powerful creator.

With love. -Adrianus

All my life I had this problem, I just was not interested in learning very much of anything. I hope I don't confuse anybody but the little that I did learn, I learned was really to much so I started to unlearn and that's when thing's started to change in my life or what I thought life was. Today I know living is not dieing. I found that by unlearning, I didn't have to learn anything because I was uncovering everything that I already knew.

Yes brother,
We carry all we need to know in our own soul. In the quietude of our soul we find eternal wisdom and guidance. In our soul, we hear recognize that “All is Well” and that you and I and everyone else is Spirit. We are Spiritual beings having a human experience. Let's all wake up to that reality!

With love.

Hi Zhakkai,

Probably far too much time has passed for this to be useful to you, but I’ve often wondered at the idea that kundalini energies can be harmful myself. I think maybe it’s a bit more accurate to say that if one is vibrating… in ways that are dischordant with oneself, and one’s vibrational energy is kicked up, then so too is the dischord.

there have been… kundalini activities that have made me a little queasy too, and I decided this was myself telling me to slow down a bit. not that I listened. : )

about meditation and quieting the mind and discipline– well, sometimes I think people make the mistake of trying to achieve silence of the mind by telling the mind to ‘stop making so much noise…’ but the problem with this is that when in meditation the brain starts using language, the people phrase what’s happening negatively– as in “I can’t make my brain quiet.” Well, it’s quite hard to quiet a brain that’s telling itself it can’t be quiet!

sorry for all the paradoxes in this email, it’s just that my brain sees many paradoxes. but above always a higher truth– such as, in meditation, if one’s brain won’t be quiet, it’s good to wrap the thoughts up in paper, and drop them into a deep well. (call this a simple visualization excersize that used to help me)

Regarding the kundalini. If the purpose, the motive, in using or activating this life force is negative it can be damaging. An analogy would be connecting a 110 volt 12 amp current to a 240 volt 12 amp current.
I once had a lady come to me about her husband you used to play with the kundalini whilst on drugs etc. - experimenting without serious purpose - and she said that he had suffered brain damage once when the whole thing misfired and it took him a while to get well.

Regarding meditation. I have always used a simple process which “stills the mind” or bypasses the mind, and takes the meditator to absolute stillness where there is no interference from the mind. I do not doubt that 20 years of this gave me the insights - what I call neoptions* - that have resulted in my book and subsequent writings.
