When people speak about leadership skills, they usually forget the most important characteristic of a great leader. This skill is not found in the realm of doing ... it's a state of being. And when you allow yourSelf to fully "be," you will set the tone for others to follow. Dear friend, it is time for you to shine. Mankind needs powerful leaders. YOU!

      I'm baacckkk!

Oh my! I'm glad I did not have any expectations of what this program was about, nor did I spend time researching their website! What an experience!! i feel like my life's ambitions are more tangible than they ever have been! i have vision and will follow through because I have character and ethics that will help fuel the fire of my passion!

It was not time spent without growing pains I have learned I need to work on my communication skills as my voice is loud and deep and I need to take a diction class or 2 in the near future. I have made a valuable ally who has future plans that can be interwoven with mine to strengthen the force. This program is offered internationally now and is free to students that apply I highly suggest this to any college student !

The food was yucky and the dorms, well, their dorms! But over all the experience was stellar and I'm grateful that I was a part of it!

..... and because we usually are in synchronicity of course Step 10 is exactly where I am this week. Tuesday, May 13 I am going for a short trip to Central Arizona College where I will be taking part in a Leadership Seminar called Leadershape. One of the alumni of this program is the man who founded google. I’m excited about the experience. Of course I will post and tell you all about it when I return,
In general my thoughts about leadership is this... Respect is commanded when you are leading with inspiration and integrity, I had to recently leave my spiritual group to find other guidance because of this reason. I was not being taken seriously, so I could not grow and the leaders were in conflict, their words and actions did not match, so how could I stick around? But, I have a better outcome, as a strong leader I followed my heart and am utilizing Adrianus’s great leadership abilities.

LEAD, FOLLOW OR GET OUT OF THE WAY! is an important rule of thumb for me too. My life has become richer and fuller since my divorce and I believe on some level I made up my mind that he would never do any of these things, so if the situation were to change I had to do something about it. (We found out he was Aspergers Syndrome weeks before the divorce). I took the lead and everything about my life has become amazing.

I am starting a new career path when I get back from this seminar, I will be working with children diagnosed Autistic. I pray I can can be a great leader in providing supreme care to help these little ones that are stuck reach a new level. These children need help and their parents are actively seeking that help. Unfortunately, I could not force my ex-husband to get help and I cannot help someone who will not help themselves. A good leader knows these things in good measure and knows best interests for ALL involved. Which as any good leader knows is not an easy call, (nothing like ripping your own heart out and stomping on it with your own foot.) All we can do is pray for the strength to make those calls to serve well in such situations. Nothing is without reason as hindsight usually proves. Namaste Valerie

This skill is not found in the realm of doing ... it's a state of being.

As a therapist, I have learned long ago that by far the most powerful tool I possess is me: the higher my level of consciousness and subsequently my vibrational energy, the more effective I am during a therapy session--no matter what intervention skill I use. This awareness is relevant for every leader, for you as well. The time has come. Mankind needs powerful leaders. Increase the impact of your presence. Together we make difference!

Recognize that it is time to shine and support others to shine as well. Become mindful of your role as leader.

Would you like to become a leaders in The InnerGuidance Network? http://www.innerguidancenetwork.org/SOMeetingHost.htm

You know, when you raise your level of consciousness, other people you come into contact with, even just through the telephone, raise up to meet your level. I've noticed that more and more as I've become more conscious. People I've known for years, have just recently begun to talk with me about inspirational and deep topics. Stuff I had been thinking of. People open up to me all the time now, and are very kind towards me. It's like they feel my vibration. I don't even start the topic of conversation... it just sort of leads into it, or they just bring it up out of the blue... stuff I've been thinking about. I believe that to be true. I mean, some of these people are people I really had known for years and never opened up to me. I don't know if it's my vibration, or my starting the conversation, showing a genuine interest in them, or what. I know I've changed. People have changed in their approach towards me as well. I rarely have a negative interaction anymore. When I do, I look at it for guidance to become more aware, or to be more patient, or receptive... usually it is there to teach me something. I'm glad I can see things that way now.

Also, I've found recently that whenever I think of something, it just happens to come about in my reality. For example, this website. I had been thinking about how important it is to be kind, and to really listen to people and show them you care... then I was thinking about how just by doing that, I could help to make the world better, then I was thinking a lot about changing the world. Well, that day, my mom brought up that at her church they were talking about that exact thing, then I kept hearing songs that day about changing the world, then a radio show I was listening to that night on Oprah and Friends XM radio was talking about changing the world through kindness, then this website came about. It's like I manifested it through my thoughts. It was what I had wanted so much in my life. With my increased consciousness, I felt a bit out of place in my life outside of here. I couldn't really talk about these things except for with my parents, and I wanted friends who I could talk with these types of things with, without judgment, and with shared interest. This website appeared. It was what I had been searching for, without even realizing... that's just one example. I've had many things like that happen over the past year... so cool. We are powerful creators through our thoughts. Think positive. You can manifest a great reality for yourself. The law of attraction really works.

I agree with everyone's insights. Great posts. I enjoy very much being a part of this group. I believe it is through consistently giving love and kindness, through all our interactions, mindfully, that we can all make a difference in the world together. Here are some of my thoughts about being a mindful leader:

From "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff... and it's all small stuff", by Richard Carlson:
"Often a single act of kindness sets a series of kind acts in motion. There is no prescription for how to practice random kindness. It comes from the heart." "Perhaps the greatest reason to practice kindness is that it brings great contentment into your life. Each act of kindness rewards you with positive feelings and reminds you of the important aspects of life- service, kindness, and love. If we all do our part, pretty soon we will live in a nicer world."

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
- Leo Buscaglia

From "The Don't Sweat Affirmations", by Richard Carlson:
"Every act of kindness is an expression of love, and everyone deserves to be loved."

"You must be the change you want to see in the world."
- Mahatma Gandhi

      An excerpt from your writing:

” Mindful Leaders lead by example. The more we express ourselves fully and follow our dreams, the more we motivate others to do the same. Let's not play small any longer, let's shine and let's support others to shine as well. ”

says it all for me really.

To live my life in full expression of my being, achieving a state of living the best and most that I can be is a real motivation for me in lfe, and simultaneously empowering those around me to grow and achieve from knowing love and gaining awarenesss of their own power.

Ghandi is one of my heroes. A humble man by nature, he nevertheless was motivated by a good sense of respect and dignity.

Thank you my fellow Spirits... wonderful insights!

We are constantly called upon to fulfill our roles as mindful leaders--in small and in large deeds.

Like Melissa, I found myself confronted with a stressful situation today. Throughout the "conflict" I tried to stay aware of my own emotional responses, reminding myself that all is well; all is perfect as is. The situation was an opportunity for growth.

I focused on raising my energy and lovingly and congruently expressing what I felt. Since I was aware of and observed my fear-based emotions, I was able to maintain aligned with my soul energy--inviting the other players to do the same.

Today, I was successful...

Thank you kind spirit. Yes, to stay attuned can be draining. Today, I addressed a situation that needed attention, and did it in the vein of this step, not as I once might be inclined to--about righteous indignation and woundedness. I was able to gently set some needed boundaries, mainly through acknowledging my part in allowing them to be set aside by not speaking up. Group "stuff" is hard at times when individuals do not have the courage to stand up, or when the environment is not welcoming to open, honest and respectful input. I recognize that I need to go beyond silently ignoring the gossip, drama, and chaos, but in such a way that the individuals do not feel harmed or maligned. That, is hard at times. Today, in mindfulness, I succeeded, and All is Well.

Heartlights Unite!

Well said Mellissa! A mindful leader is one who is honest, authentic and open...someone who sees the potential in another person or a group and with a willing compassionate heart of courage works on one's own self to be the change that person wants to catalyze and inspire for the higher common good of all.

Working with others takes a lot of patience, understanding and skillful communication. I have just begun to work with small groups in my community and discovering many things about group energy, style of communication, group attitude, drama and beliefs. It sure is much more challenging than working with one to one or few individuals. I am getting sick at times, yet that is the direction my spirit is nudging me into. A heart-centered leader needs to practice being an open unbiased listener and therefore a humble follower at least two third of the times. A great leader is able to trust and delegate and know when to step in and be tough and when to ask humbly for help.

May we all be a blessing to each other and co-mingle our energies for the greater peace and welfare of all beings.

In the spirit of joyful evolution
mita
www.seek2know.net

When I'm in the "flow" being a mindful leader is easy. I offer the best of who I am becoming, and this contributes to the "greater good." When I forget, and live in the "lie," I tend to focus too much on the mundane. I miss the point in the murmerings, the hassles, the challenges around me. It can sometimes take me a while to refocus, reconnect and raise my energy to remain mindfully connected to the reality I wish to manifest.

I am actively working toward becoming a mindful leader whose purpose is to empower and honor the authenticity of those around me. That requires that I keep my "agenda" out of the way. Remaining focused in the "now" I can build a foundation of integrity, modeling what Spirit has been trying to show me all along! The result, in pragmatic terms, is a team whose focus is not on drama, but on building better relationships, calmer work place and freedom to explore some of the barriers to peace.

HeartLights Unite!

Melissa

And, part of being a mindful leader is also knowing when it's time to follow.

BE A MINDFUL LEADER

http://www.innerguidancenetwork.org/SpiritsOnymousStep10.htm

A collective consciousness is breaking through that will pull humanity into an age of spiritual awareness, peace and purpose. We are reaching critical mass!

You are invited to fulfill a Mindful Leadership role in this process, in whatever societal function you may have: parent, teacher, mechanic. Mindful Leaders see the brilliance and perfection in all human beings and in all situations. All is Spirit and All is Well.

In The ClearView Conspiracy John says, "I've learned that with every thought, I set into motion a chain reaction of events that will support or obstruct the quality of my life and the lives of thousands of people around me. We owe it to ourselves, and the rest of humanity to celebrate our greatness and see greatness in all we meet."

When we are drawn into gossip and drama, become aware of that, stop, and step back. And when people around us indulge in drama, we will not join them. Instead, we will gently ask them to refocus on what they want to create.

Mindful Leaders lead by example. The more we express ourselves fully and follow our dreams, the more we motivate others to do the same. Let's not play small any longer, let's shine and let's support others to shine as well. After all, that's what we came here to do.

Be mindful of the fact that your vibrational energy impacts the lives of thousands of people around you-directly and indirectly. We are all leaders, continuously shaping the future of mankind.

Take a deep breath and let the text sink in. What does it bring up?
SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS AND EXPERIENCES!

This is an excerpt. Go to The InnerGuidance Network E-campus at http://www.innerguidancenetwork.org/ to read the full text and do the life changing "Reclaiming Spirit" assignments. It just takes a little bit of sustained gentle practice for you to hone your innate powers and transform your world.
