A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To My Lucid Dream

Daniel said May 18, 2007, 1:58 AM:

It started when I began rereading Dan Millmans “Way Of The Peaceful Warrior” which I had not picked up since I was 30 years old when my life was a wasteland and I thought it would help me with some wisdom on paper and ink. The first night after I read the beginning pages of the book I had an intense lengthly lucid dream with Eckhart Tolle in it.

Then, just tonight after going further into the book I had another lengthly lucid dream which was almost the extent of a full length motion picture (or so it seemed, you know how time compression can be!). Both dreams were incredible in content and beauty.

So my question is, is it possible that a book could actually be a psychoactive catalyst for stimulating conscious theta states? Or, it could be a coincidence. This book certainly has my interest now in more ways than one either way!

Dan

Hi Dan!

It's always something special to have a lucid dream. One with Eckhart Tolle even more so!
I had a similar experience few years ago and for me too, that book (Carlos Castaneda) has now a special place in my library. I think that such a message, one that is particularly meaninful in your life right now, can trigger such a response in you and maybe help you to understand something.

I don't know what “coincidence” means for you, but for me there is no such thing…I like to call it “Spirits helpful hand”.

BTW, did Tolle say something in your dream? …just curious…

Actually, do we already have a dream threat? I could be interesting to share ones most meaninful dreams…what do you think?

bless
Markus

Hi Markus,

Eckhart Tolle did not say anything, but I was inside his house and was exploring the area around the house. He knew I was there and was looking at me. My sense was that inside this house it was a very meaningful place to be, a sanctuary that took much to build. It contained such things as a bank of advanced electronics and shelfs of books.

I have seen Eckhart Tolle before and so there is an inner connection of sorts. I take it as a significant sign that perhaps a new level of growth and development is about to unfold.

Cheers,

Daniel

Hi Daniel and Markus,

Arthur started a thread here called Lucid Dreaming a while ago. It's already 38 posts long and a very interesting read (which I don't have time for, entirely).  But I wouldn't mind one bit to start a new thread where everyone can share their important dreams, lucid or not.

Daniel, I also had a dream about Eckhart Tolle wherein he revealed himself as one of my Friends in the most unassuming, quiet way, I was floored, if that's the right word. This was a few months before I was told to check out a book called, The Power Of Now. When I saw the picture of the man in my dream on the back cover, I knew that the guy had something to give that was going to rearrange my furniture.

Maybe I'll tell the whole story later if interest is there.

Best to ya,

~ M

Uh, er, … I'm interested.  I have had similar feelings about Eckhardt Tolle - warm and friendly - just the sort of person you would like to see in your dream when its time to pluck the chickens, or hang out on the porch with for a nice long rock.

Talking to a guy on I-Naked today, I finally got around to putting my dream about Eckhart Tolle into words. Here's the short version of one of those precognitive dreams that led to “the next thing” in my life.

Before I ever heard of him, Eckhart Tolle came to me in a dream, together with another guide who remained standing in the background as a dark silhouette. My mind zoomed in on Eckhart's face and took a snapshot in color that I could not forget. When I awoke, I remembered every detail vividly, only the name of this little guy was receding too fast for my mind to retain. So I struggled to recall it, thinking, “Edward…? No. It was not an English name, it definitely was German…” So I went through several German names, Ehrhard, Eberhard…etc. Months later, a friend told me to buy a book called The Power Of Now… When I looked at the inside of the back cover, there was a photo of the guy in my dream, only in black and white. Needless to say, I was kicked into a different gear going home by just reading what this teacher had to say. And, like many others, he works in the subtle dimensions as well - always a boon.

Warm wishes across virtual space

M

Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most original and inspiring spiritual teachers of our time. He travels and teaches throughout the world.

Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but excludes none. His profound yet simple and practical teachings have helped thousands of people find inner peace, healing and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness - a global spiritual awakening.

Eckhart was born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. At the age of twenty-nine, a profound spiritual transformation virtually dissolved his old identity and radically changed the course of his life. The next few years were devoted to understanding, integrating and deepening that transformation, which marked the beginning of an intense inward journey. Later, he began to work with individuals and groups as a counselor and spiritual teacher.

M,

That's a fantastic story. When you are ready, the teacher will appear.

Many people have said that just by practicing the simple ways of Eckhart Tolle, they have opened up immensely into deeper states of peace and wellbeing. No need for complex intellectualizations. Everyone has a piece of the puzzle, why guzzle up on the hairsplitting details…unless thats what you need.

Dig it. ET's the man.
