I used to have a major “intellectual crush” on Susan Blackmore, and I still have a soft spot in my heart for her. I love her honest, open approach to what she believes. She uncompromisingly reports what she thinks and why, even when it brings her into quite controversial areas, and yet shows a warm, caring side as well. She follows rationalism wherever it takes her, even if she may have thrown out the transrational baby with the prerational bathwater. She might be a flatlander, but she's a lovable, quirky, intelligent and zen meditating flatlander - plus she's a scientist with crazy hair. :) I would recommend her autobiography ”In Search of the Light.” She may or may not “go integral” at some point - it would be totally groovy if she does - but regardless, I believe she has something valuable to contribute. She inspired and helped me along in my spiritual and intellectual journey at an earlier, critical point in my path to here, and I'm grateful for that.
