One Laptop Per Child

My colleague Tom donated money to this fund early in the project, and so gets one of the adorable little green PCs fro himself. It runs a really nifty and simply elegant version of Linux; all of the software on the PC must be open source as a matter of principle.

We had fun with my camera today taking pics of his new toy. But this is a serious venture and I hope some of you will get on board and donate one yourselves. Imagine what this can do for a child with no other real connection to the outside world. Fantastic stuff.
