Grey Just testing URLs in the grapevine. This link will take you to Pelle's blog: http://is.gd/ixdm (I want to see if this gets converted to a link or if you have to copy and paste it.) (10 months ago)

Grey Oof! Just saw this now, Siona.... Yeah, flutters I think it was... no, "flaps", but I don't like it much. "Flutter" was the name to replace "Grapevine". Anyway, I just used "tweets" here because it's more readily recognizable. :) (11 months ago)

Hi all

As I have joined this group a few weeks ago, I thought it was about time to introduce myself.

My name is Annemieke and I live in the Netherlands. The first time I came across the work of Ken Wilber was about 10 years ago. I can't remember which book it was, but it had to be a Dutch translation, as that was still the time of searching for books in libraries.

It was also the time I seriously started reading. Before that I hardly ever read a book, but from then on I was reading every moment I could. And although I read many books, after the first one of Wilber, I never read anything from him again until I arrived at Gaia.

So I was really impressed with what I found here and I have been very busy trying to ‘catch up' so to speak. I really enjoyed reading his work, especially his developmental model and the overview that gives on human development.

Great to be here,

Annemieke

Greetings here my Friend !!

Can you tell us how to pronounce your name? I have a local Dutch friend named Lideke, LEE deck eh, and I have a Danish friend named VEE beck eh, but I suspect yours having more syllabless might be different.

My best guess would be Ahnnah MEE keh, but it might be Ahnnah mee ECKEH…..

Looking forward to your contributions, yes !

Thanks for the welcome.

OM, pronouncing my name in English seems a bit difficult, but I am honoured that you would like to try.

It starts already with the A. In Dutch it is pronounced as in ‘march'. Then the part NNE is pronounced sort of like in ‘duh'. ( so ANNE = A  Nuh)

The first part of the second half, MIE, is like in do, re, ‘mi'. And KE is again like in ‘duh''. (so MIEKE = Mi  Kuh)

Well, I would be most curious to hear how that sounds! But you can just call me Anne, pronounced the English way. That should be much easier.

About my contributions to the group, I would love to discuss the comparison between some of Wilbers theories and the signs of the zodiac. The development of the zodiac is my understanding of the world and I saw many similarities reading through Ken Wilbers work.

But I don't know if there are others who share that interest and if it fits within this group.

As for the rest, I really like the ongoing discussions about emotions, male/female and the one about the bodily experiences.

Best wishes,

A-nuh-mi-kuh
